Ferry Tayle & Static Blue had quite a 2009 with their huge L'Acrobat release doing the business across the summer months. With a bulging gig diary including Trance Energy, Ferry now looks certain to be one of the big stories of 2010. Kicking of 2010 in quite emphatic style, the duo land with the long awaited follow up, Trapeze. Having seen heavy support to all the mixes on Armin's ASOT (Tune of the Week) and Above & Beyond's TATW, the hype is a boiling point already for this superb release. The original has everything you want in an uplifting trance track; drive, power, lush melodies and heavenly vocals. Remix duties fall to Daniel Kandi, who's mix has already been made Tune of the Week by World No. 1 Armin van Buuren, and Arty, whose Digitally Enhanced Intro Mix has been used by Above & Beyond to open all their recent shows, and by Will Holland on his Digitally Enhanced Vol Three compilation, which is coming this March. ASOT 469 Tune Of The Week! Arty's seen a phenomenal rise in the short 14 months since we gave him his debut release on Enhanced Progressive. "Man Of The Moment" is a term often used, but we feel there is absolutely no other way of describing the young Russian right now. Since his remix of Ferry Tayle & Static Blue's Trapeze and Tritonal's Utopia, Arty has been the producer everyone wants, and subsequent remixes for the likes of the scenes biggest names, Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert and Paul van Dyk, and his Beatport No. 1 remix of D-Mad on Enhanced Progressive has cemented his position at the top of the newcomers from the past year. Back on Enhanced Progressive with another brilliant Original, Arty turns out two versions of Twilight Tonight. The Original Mix falls in a similar vein to that of his last two EP's on Enhanced, whilst the Arty Remode vamps up the atmosphere with Arty's trademark power chords with rich pads and synths sending the emotion into orbit. Remixes come from two of Enhanced Prog's favourites, MoodFreak and D-Mad. MoodFreak makes a welcome return after a lengthy hiatus, and he doesn't disappoint as he pushes the track towards the progressive house pigeonhole with his sparkly synths and groovy bottom end. D-Mad rips up the rulebook and goes for an entirely fresh approach from his usual style, combining stabby synths and bleepy melodies with the wonkiest bassline we've heard in a while! Essential stuff from the Man Of The Moment!

Above & Beyond and Artem Stolyarov are together again on the ALPHA 9 remix of ‘Good For Me’ (feat. Zoë Johnston).

‘Good For Me’ was first released on Above & Beyond’s debut album ‘Tri-State’, which celebrates its fifteenth anniversary in March 2021. Featuring the ethereal voice of long-time collaborator Zoë Johnston, it is one of Above & Beyond’s best-loved anthems. 

Whether he’s ARTY or ALPHA 9, Artem is one of Anjuna’s brightest stars. His ALPHA 9 project went from strength to strength in 2020: highlights include the ‘Stellar EP’, ‘Everywhere I Go’ and ‘All That I Can’. ALPHA 9 contributed three tracks to Anjunabeats Volume 15, Above & Beyond’s marquee release of the year. Artem’s recent 20 Years Of Anjunabeats mix featured some of his best work as ARTY and ALPHA 9 from the last decade, plus selections from Andrew Bayer, Mat Zo, Grum and Jaytech.

Artem previously remixed Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘My Own Hymn’, from the trio’s 2018 studio album ‘Common Ground’. ALPHA 9’s take on ‘Good For Me’ is a faithful update of an evergreen classic.
