Gabrielle Washington, based out of New Orleans, has made quite a name for herself co-fronting the band Sexy Dex and the Fresh. Taking the leap into her own endeavors, her first  tape release under the name Delores Galore titled New Growth (out on 10/20) is reminiscent of 80’s synth pop, Soul, 90’s house music, and post disco.

This new project was inspired by the strong women in Washington’s life. She felt she needed to pay homage to her family, and everything they have sacrificed for her to live out her dream. Namesake of her grandmother, Delores Martin, she wanted to make sure that when people see her name her family’s strength and resilience is behind it.

As Delores Galore, Washington puts on a live performance that exudes perseverance, her longing for true freedom, and genuine expression. She is leaving her mark at every show, and is telling her story of why she belongs on the stage.
