Gabriel Patås is a norwegian guitarist, producer, improvisateur, and DJ, dedicating his life to exploring the possibilities of music. He is an active ingredient in the vibrant petri dish that is Oslos underground 
music scene, hosting parties, releasing music, playing live sets, and collecting records. Since taking on the position of Acolyte, knowing that what is known will always be miniscule compared to what there is to know, describing his style has become somewhat difficult, but also quite irrelevant, as it always reflects his latest discoveries and insights, and dedicating time to reflecting on such matters, means less time spent exploring.

Patås is a fantastic deejay and producer from Oslo, Norway. An integral part of the KAFÉ HÆRVERK (home of the Oslo underground scene) crew, Patås also runs the Lek.rec record label with Kim Dürbeck and Làrus Sigurvin. The label’s first release was Patås’ own LEK 12”, which eagle-eared listeners might have heard played on the previous Elektorni radio show. On top of deejaying, Patås has also been active playing banging live sets in Oslo and beyond.

Here Patås presents us with a high quality fast-paced, to-the-point propulsive techno mix that grabs you, takes you in its firm hold and eventually releases you out into the wild a better person. Perfect if you need to get yourself into a weekend state of mind.

FNS returns on Thursday, October 10, for the fourth takeover at Mutant Radio, featuring a special collaboration with our friends from the North. Oslo-based artists Anders Hajem, and Trym Søvdsnes will join forces with Bergen-based Patås and Kromoplastik, who will perform a live set. Also on the lineup are local hero Kraumur and FNS founder Bass Commander. Tune in on the Mutant Radio website or if you’re in town come have a drink with us at the physical space!

In memory of a long-lost friend, Patås comes forth with a relic of a vinyl release in the name of that loved one, featuring one dreamy side in memoriam of the flesh, and one bouncy side for the spirit.

Title track starts it out in a lush and vibrant synthworld pairing up with a dubby techno groove, whole track foaming over with saudade, one part looking back in tears, the other going forward with a subtle smile.

ILU 2 MUCH takes a bit too much sweet emotions and brings it to a restless standstill.

Flip the record over and you get two certified dancefloor scorchers in different trajectories. Bontelabo is a deep and trippy broken beat keepsake using only sampled guitar for its harmonic and melodic content.

Og Så ? is a fresh take on a techno tool, constantly flipping and changing up the material around some good ol’ machine funk, a tune for all the serious clowns looking to get down.

Oslo-based imprint LEK line up their fifth release with the highly anticipated ‘Ole’ EP from label founder and producer Patås...At the heart of the release lies ‘Bontelabo’, a track that submerges listeners in an icy deep-sea plunge. Opening with an eerie cascade of drone-like textures, it conjures visions of frozen horizons and spectral fjords. The track builds slowly, drawing you into its glacial grip before erupting with pulse-quickening techno that barrel like stormy currents. As ‘Bontelabo’ reaches its zenith, it transforms into a mesmerising symphony of submarine signals, oscillating between moments of meditative stillness and full-throttle dancefloor energy.
