"Linda's Cloudless Sky" is a tribute to postal carrier, Linda, who is retiring at the end of the year.  It explores what it must be like to retire during the pandemic. With music/vocals/piano by Kim Caridi and lyrics by Gaby Gold, the song celebrates the uncelebrated during an unprecedented time.  Thank you USPS!

Gaby’s work and collaborations a writer and songwriter have been performed at BMI, Symphony, The Duplex, Dixon Place, Prospect Theatre Company, 13th Street Rep, NY Live Arts, Stage Left Studio, the Laurie Beechman Theatre, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley and the offices of The New York Times, among others.  

Gaby wrote the radio play Powergirls and the Brothers Evil for the Paley Center’s Re-creating Radio Program. A World in Harmony, an interactive musical show about acceptance which she co-wrote and performed with Joy Kelly, toured schools in the tri-state area. Gaby cherishes the experience of having produced a benefit featuring her original sketches and lyrics in collaboration with various various composers to raise money and awareness for children of war in Uganda.

Gaby collaborated with 11-time Grammy Award winner Paquito D’Rivera on a moving and humorous musical about playwright and actor Jay Alvarez’s family’s exodus from Cuba over 50 years ago.  Her song with Ben Rauch, “Jersey Christmas” was sung by the touring cast of Jersey Boys on the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Carols for a Cure album.

She received her B.A. in Government & Philosophy from Skidmore College and earned her M.A.  in Educational Theatre from NYU. She was a certified Drama teacher (Kindergarten-12th Graders) in New York State and taught in several schools as a tenured Theater Teacher in public schools in the Bronx and Manhattan.  She currently appears in print and TV ads and teaches Enrichment to pre-K and elementary students.

Gaby has been a Teaching Artist for LEAP, Princeton University’s McArthur Theatre, the Periwinkle Theatre and Arc Stages. She is an Alumna of BMI's Musical Theatre Writing Workshop. Gaby won awards for Best Lyrics and Best Song for the musical Face to Facebook in the West Village Musical Theatre Festival and an Honorable Mention for her play, Kosher for Passover, at Yellow Studio’s Writer’s Salon. She likes to tell stories and spread warmth.
