The Dirty Mind Tour was a concert tour by American recording artist Prince, his second tour in support of his third album Dirty Mind. The tour lasted from late December 1980 until April 1981.  This particular concert was held at the Ritz, NY on December 10, 1980.

The tour focused on material from Prince's second and third albums, and marks the debut of Lisa Coleman on keyboards, replacing Gayle Chapman who left following the previous tour. After the tour, the band would be further depleted by the departure of bassist André Cymone. 

Additionally, with this tour, Prince updated his look. After being told by his managers that he could not wear spandex pants without any underwear, Prince began performing in a long trench coat, black high heeled boots and leggings, and black bikini underwear.

Hi Music lovers,

“Ladies of The Canyon” is a new set inspired by the Joni Mitchell songbook in which I will propose on a trimestral basis this soundtrack full of Westcoast and Soul music (you can also call it Yacht Soul as they said ), for the Pacific Summer Sound website members.
In this 1st set, the mood is clearly "laidback and relax".
I have selected a blend of both rare, or lesser known, and also some classic tracks, that I have carefully beatmatched. 
As some of them are old Vinyls, initially recorded at a time the beat was frequently fluctuating, the mixing for those could have been hot to manage; but at the end you get a live set with track versions that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.

“Ladies of The Canyon” est un nouveau set inspiré par le répertoire de Joni Mitchell dans lequel je proposerai chaque trimestre une bande musicale colorée Westcoast et Soul pour les membres de Pacific Summer Sound.
Pour ce premier set l’orientation définie est "Laidback".
J’ai sélectionné un mélange de morceaux à la fois rares, ou moins connus, et aussi quelques classiques que j’ai soigneusement mixés sur le tempo. 
Étant donné que certains sont des vieux Vinyls, initialement enregistrés à une période où le tempo n’était pas stable, le mixage a été compliqué à gérer, mais au bout du compte vous avez un set Live avec des versions que vous ne pourrez retrouver nulle part ailleurs.
