Rising star Saraga arrives on Bedouin's Human By Default with ‘Santa Maria EP’ this June
Tel Aviv-based Saraga has previously released on established labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Rumors Records, Robsoul Recordings and Nervous Records, picking up support from the likes of Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers and Damian Lazarus amongst others. Now making moves as a DJ on the biggest stages, his latest release for Bedouin's Human By Default label sees the Israeli artist deliver a deep, sophisticated EP.
'Santa Maria' opens up with meticulously crafted House beats rolling deep under enchanting string sounds and intoxicating vocals, making for an organic and fresh sound. The sunny 'Madame Paris' has lush flute and sax motifs floating over a chunky beat with seductive vocal mutterings drawing the listener under their spell.
Saraga's accomplished production techniques again define the fluttering percussive loops of the grooving 'El Dorado'. Another vocal this time unfolds over the stripped-back but warm drums which become layered up with ever more synth tension. Finally, the brilliant 'Chambacú' is a steamy and tropical house with jumbled drums, hits and toms under yearning vocals and romantic trumpet hooks.

For its next release, Around Midnight invites us to dive into the vibrant and collaborative universe of Brazilian duo Hoo with their new EP Hoo & Friends. A project where musical friendships and creative dialogues take center stage.

Rooted in the duo’s organic rhythms and melodic sensibility, Hoo & Friends is a heartfelt journey shaped by the unique contributions of talented artists from their close circle. Anonimat joins forces on It Lacks Luck, a track that blends groovy percussion with cool synths, where the interplay of voices and grooves opens the way to an endless danceable voyage.

On The Message, Hoo’s driving energy unfolds in a more tense and hypnotic structure, while the powerful layering of synths and rhythms speaks directly to the body and mind. The third original piece, Sortilège, is an intimate collaboration with Brazilian producer Gutto Serta and the French singer Vie. Here, poetic words and enchanting melodies weave together into a spellbinding track that resonates like a whispered incantation.

The journey continues with three carefully curated remixes that expand the EP’s emotional spectrum. Re.You brings an Afro House pulse to It Lacks Luck, amplifying its rhythmic power while preserving its subtle introspection.

Borak transports The Message into an Indie Dance dimension, adding raw textures and a forward-driving groove that lights up the night.

Finally, Kalyma offers a breathtaking reinterpretation of Sortilège, transforming it into a cinematic, melodic odyssey with his signature atmospheric touch.
