As the basic patterns of the universe repeat everywhere, in a fractal-like way, we have a strong interrelation and similarity with something bigger than we are, particularly with the planets. Being limitless and divine by nature, human beings have the innate power to create and explore.

Join us for a year-long journey through the sound of solar system to look deeper into our souls and feel the cosmic energy flow inside our bodies. While exploring the universe from inside and outside we will access the sacred knowledge of our wise ancestors, reconnect our bodies, minds and souls to Mother Nature and its Cosmic Energy.

After this year of transformation towards a more spiritual and conscious state of mind, it will be time for a profound Cosmic Awakening, exploring ourselves and surrounding realities.

Musician based in Barcelona. Student and lover of many tribal and sacred rhythms from ancient parts of the world. Contributing to the scenes with mixes and with own musical creations. This Psybient.Org podcast, is actually the realisation of a multi-year dream - to carve a sonic journey using my tracks, along with tracks made by the artists who have inspired & lifted me over the years. After a lifetime immersed in trance & various forms of electronic music, my creative journey began back in 2009 when I started learning to DJ. Not long after I began playing PsyTrance sets for the MerKaBa Tribe parties & festivals across Jersey & the Channel Islands, which felt amazing, seeing so many happy smiley people, dancing, laughing, connecting….I wanted more :) 

Pretty soon after, I turned my focus towards my real passion, the wonderful world of psychedelic chill out. This music has done so much good for me, I struggle to put this into words. It has lifted my broken spirit more times than I can remember, in ways that feel deeply healing & nourishing. This was it, this was what I wanted to focus on, creating musical journeys that help heal & nourish us, help recalibrate & come back to ourselves in this crazy, crazy world. If I can even help one person then that is enough. 

My ‘Dreamtime Diaries’ series of psybient / psychill mixes is a great example of this work, covering all facets of the psybient world. Around 2017, I lowered the tempo again, creating ambient journeys for use in mediation, yoga, treatments, ceremony or any other situation where genuine immersion into the moment is required.

Around 2012, I branched out into music production. In 2016 I released my debut EP, and have been creating weird or wonderful sounds since then. Also in 2016, I co-founded the Unity Tribe Collective which hosted local trance parties, with the intention of bringing the local community together. Currently I am enjoying playing a monthly chill out radio show for Widgeon Airwaves & am working towards my latest EP, which will hopefully be out later this year.

My name is Ilya Surmay, I’m a DJ and a producer from Ukraine. I discovered psychedelic chillout music in 2015 and instantly became a huge fan of it. With a bit of a background as a drummer and a guitarist I then began to learn music production and DJing. Over the years I played at local parties and festivals in Ukraine and released a few tracks under the name “Highlighted”, also I have another project “il ya” that’s all about slow chill beats with less psy and more lo-fi sound.

It is now my honor to return to this wonderful Universo Paralello Festival (Bahia, BR) for another performance on the Chill Out Stage after such a difficult and sensitive period of a pandemic on our planet! This festival has a very special meaning for me, since it is my favorite event and, as those close to me know, it is where I started to idealize my project. Recently I have been extremely impacted in a positive and inspirational way by the birth of my beloved son Jojo, to whom I dedicate this work, intending to gather my energy and eternalize all the wonderful vivid feelings that I experienced since his birth. Would like to share with you very special audio recording. This is a introductory part for a dj set that i played this year at Psy-Fi festival.
 
For this performance i invited my new friend - Fresh to join me with his mantra live vocal looping improvisation. This collaboration created some very special vibe and raise energy on the dance-floor. Unfortunately his audio and all the rest wasn’t recorded.
