21 years after the dissolution of their first band, Jaime Alzate, Felipe "Bif" Blanco, Gabriel Sabbagh and José Matera rejoin forces as Galactic Desperates. Oumuamua is their debut album, the result of a series of recording sessions that took place throughout 3 years in Bogotá, Barranquilla, Miami, New York and Amsterdam. The album was produced by Afro Estudio in Barranquilla and mastered by Mike Wells in Los Angeles. The album features guest artists Joan Bas from Chile and Zev Starmans from The Netherlands.

In Oumuamua, the Colombian quartet Galactic Desperates brings decades of alternative and hard rock to the table. Yet they open the musical landscape widely, breaking paradigms and giving in to eclectic electronic experimentation. Without following any template, Oumuamua dances freely in the space between Nine Inch Nails, Sigur Ros, Depeche Mode, The Strokes and LCD Soundsystem.
