Galactic Funk Podcast 066 - Ole Mic Odd

Galactic Funk kick-off their first Mutant Radio show on Christmas Eve with special guests Boris Barksdale (Phromix, Natural Sciences) and NVST (Big Science, Endless Illusion). Warmest welcome on Mutant board!
Boris Barksdale is an enigmatic Greek DJ and producer is based in Paris and commands a unique selection and production style. He dropped what to most is the album of the year on Phormix and follows this up with a full-length on Natural Sciences next month.
NVST, a DJ and producer that co-runs the French label Big Science where she dropped a sick EP early last year. With a busy touring schedule before the current lockdown, she also dropped music on Endless Illusion and the new launched Proxima Records.

Croatian dj and producer with releases on reputable labels such as Brokntoys and 20/20 Vision.

Sporting a growing catalogue of the finest electro she's one of the rare women in the region with accomplished experience in both production and DJ'ing. Her musical DNA these days is leaning towards experimental but she kept that spacey and melodic vibe heard on first releases like ’The Glowing' (via Brokntoys), and Laax (via Noise 2 Meet U).
Her tracks also found their place on fresh Belgian label ZwaarteKracht, Mexican Aztlan Records and Baox and she has recorded a track ‘Alpha Dial’ and designed a vinyl label for Russian Analog Concept (just to name a few).
From newer releases we would like to point out release for 20/20 Vision where her tune Rescape found it’s place between some of the strongest names in industry like Extrawelt and Djedjotronic.

When not in the studio you can find her playing with a band Aklea Neon and Sound Doulas or recording audio on a film set.

In the summer of 2019 Ivna set the scene on main stage of Love International festival warming up for the likes of London Paranoid, Derek Carr & DMX Krew. In true Ivna style she has delivered a fantastic selection of all things electro. Weaving through the full spectrum of this wonderful genre, from deep Drexciya sounding records to the acid line driven sounds of Berlin. She is also a frequent guest on Croatian underground summer festivals such as Blast, Skrivena Uvala (Hidden Beach) and many more.

As a part of Natural Selection family she was a recent guest on Berlin streaming platform Hor.

Pour ce 7ème numéro d'Oratio, Ethos Records invite Sinusoidal. La première  heure sera assurée par Speechmaker. Sinusoidal est un artiste qui s'inspire d'un large éventail de styles et d'influences musicales. Il fait partie de l'équipe de la radio en ligne underground TESTFM et co-anime la série d'événements "Blatant" qui présente de la musique non conventionnelle. Il est également compositeur de musique et concepteur sonore de jeux vidéo. Passionné par la création de paysages sonores uniques, Sinusoidal a sorti son premier mini-album sur Pinkman Records. Son style musical mélange différents genres, créant un son qui lui est entièrement propre. She is a very talented and poetic artist that the entire GF team have been following for a while and had the pleasure of meeting in person at Intergalactic FM fest this year. You can check her lauded album “Centauresse” on the mighty L.I.E.S. records, following up her 2019 debut album "Over The Sand" for Mannequin Records. Her productions bring a variety of sounds and invite us to explore the full range of her musical dynamics, leading the listener into her universe where the border between dreams and reality blurs into one, with no tangible beginning or end. If you happen to be in Paris on Friday, December 8th, do not miss her Dissemblance Live at Petit Bain to enjoy the full experience. For the series, she has crafted a special session where she gives us a unique and magical mix out of her studio in Paris, incorporating exclusive vocals and Rhodes improvisations over 80 beautiful minutes of thoughtful and sensory music.
