Galactic Funk Podcast Series

We're excited to welcome L.F.T. to the series. The Hamburg-based DJ and producer is well-known for his new wave, break beat, and electro tinted style which is regularly played by Helena Hauff and Alessandro Adriani among others. He's released some incredible work on labels like Return To Disorder, Tresor, Mechatronica, Eye for an Eye recordings, Osare Editions just to name a few with an album scheduled for release this year. He curates concerts at the Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg and runs an experimental independent label called „Neoprimitive“. His session is an energetic electro delight, pulling inspiration from the dirty and distorted beats of The Hague with the 80's sound of San Francisco. Lock in!

We’re pleased to welcome reputed musician, selector, and tireless seeker of underground music, Interstellar Funk. A key figure in the Dutch scene, he’s joined forces with well-known initiatives Rush Hour, Dekmantel, and Red Light Radio. He now runs his own record label, Artificial Dance, which has quickly gained momentum both thanks to his dedication to unearthing old gems and to releasing forward-thinking contemporary dance music. No stranger to production himself, Olf lives up to his moniker through his own distinct productions, in which he lets his passion for analogue gear and futuristic sonic journeys come to life. We look forward to seeing what the future has in store for this bold label and artist, as well as to his anticipated forthcoming debut LP.

We're supremely happy to welcome the mighty Djedjotronic to the series. The well-known French producer, live act, and DJ has been steadily enrichening the scene with his music since 2007. His work graces the catalogs of labels like Zone, CPU records, Ritmo Fatale,  Boys Noize, Soil Records, with one of his most recent releases on Jensen Interceptor's International Chrome label. He's collaborated with legends such as Miss Kittin and Depeche Mode and played iconic clubs and festivals such as Berghain, the Belgian I Love Techno, Sonar, and many others. He described his work as "proudly unconventional, no smooth edges, no polished veneer, just dystopian drama with a tangible physical aesthetic". Lock in for an hour of next-level electro jams from a master of his craft.

We're incredibly pleased to welcome Dissemblance to the GF series. She is a very talented and poetic artist that the entire GF team have been following for a while and had the pleasure of meeting in person at Intergalactic FM fest this year. You can check her lauded album “Centauresse” on the mighty L.I.E.S. records, following up her 2019 debut album "Over The Sand" for Mannequin Records. Her productions bring a variety of sounds and invite us to explore the full range of her musical dynamics, leading the listener into her universe where the border between dreams and reality blurs into one, with no tangible beginning or end. If you happen to be in Paris on Friday, December 8th, do not miss her Dissemblance Live at Petit Bain to enjoy the full experience. For the series, she has crafted a special session where she gives us a unique and magical mix out of her studio in Paris, incorporating exclusive vocals and Rhodes improvisations over 80 beautiful minutes of thoughtful and sensory music. She plays tracks from the 80s: Schleimer K, DZ Lectric & Anthon Shield, taking a funky turn with Girl Unit, to arrive to some dirty acid music by Beverly Hills 808303, ending with a solo rough Rhodes impro through the Moog Cluster Flux pedal. He's etched his mark on deeply loved and respected labels such as L.I.E.S., Creme Organization, Bordello A Parigi, Pinkman, Viewlexx, Murder Capital, his own RotterHague, and many others. Famously dexterous in the booth, DJ Overdose has well-honed skills that make him able to tear up a larger stage or connect with a more intimate crowd. The GF series is back this week with Ayshel. The young, Athens-based DJ is part of the Stegi Radio team and hosts her show CALL NOW for over four years. Her show features artists such as Pi Electronics resident Zorz, LVRIN, and others. When she's not playing Athens staples like Astron Bar, which sadly closed, she has been making the rounds at festivals like Healthy Summer Fest and others.
