Kicking off the new year is none other than GF friend marienus. With a firm dedication to raw electronics, he is a Rotterdam-based, Utrecht-originated dj, and a member of industrial posse public sex regime. He is also part Operator Radio team and hosts his monthly No Soap Radio which has included guests such as Acidic Male, La Serpiente, swærm, and others. Over the years, he developed a distinctive sound and has played underground shows across the country. Lock in for an hour of trademark marienus who starts the series for 2023. Lock in!

Meet Chris Mitchell, a talented DJ and producer based in the United States. He is the brain behind Feral Colony, an uncompromising label featuring artists such as TLXCO, Sons of Traders, Chupacabras, Blackmoon77, and BenjiDF. Prior to this he co-founded Vanguard Sound and Anunnaki Cartel.

Chris has released his most recent music on a variety of labels including Squirrels on Film, Sons of Traders, Italo Moderni, Black Lodge, Soil, and his own imprint Feral Colony. Additionally, he holds a monthly residency with Mutant Radio, showcasing future releases and current favorites.

This week in the series we welcome GAËL. He is a producer and DJ from Bogotá. He founded the Antimateria events series and co-heads the Pildoras Tapes label. The impressive label roster includes artists like Filmmaker, Neud Photo, Chris Mitchell, Red Deviil and many others. His sound is strongly influenced by electro, industrial, new beat and post-punk, adding his own take on this combination of genres. As a producer, he has released on labels like Home Mort, Body Musick, Soil Records, Drøne, Clandestine Records, Dystatik, as well as his own. For the 7th installment of their split-series, Dalmata Daniel welcomes both Roberto Auser for his sophomore contribution to the label, as well as a fresh addition to the catalogue: Cestrian, aka. Ali Renault, the tireless Margate-based DJ and producer, well known for his frantic, dazzling and rough releases at labels like Bunker, Cyber Dance Records or Mechatronica.

Massive, thumping kickdrums and hypnotic whispers introduce the first tunes of side A, that is ‘Awakening’ – Auser’s take on slow, EBM-esque industrial vibrations as an eerie, industrial waltz. ‘Selvage’ drives effortlessly to disco- and retrofuturistic territories, arriving at the closing track of Auser’s side, ‘Long Night’. This third cut is his longest one, steadily building up harmonic layers of dark, intertwining melodies with the devoted beats of a minimalistic drummachine, full of echoes and shimmering high-ends.

Side B starts with the energetic, rolling bassline of ‘Satan’. Ideal title for such a fiery, blazing electro hit: if you ever find yourself in any sort of Inferno-situation trying to Shazam that heated banger you hear, it is likely that it's one of Cestrian’s intense tracks from this 12”. ‘Zoltan’ delivers a gentle rumbling of a dusty bass-synth. An atmospheric, chill sequence dominates the split’s penultimate track, with dreamy chords and smooth twists on a chaotic noise-source. Finishing off the split, Cestrian hits us with ‘Lids’ – an excited and raw vision of electro, full of hazy sparks and detuned, tense oscillations. The bass cuts into our minds like blades from a giallo-opus, leaving behind nothing but the unsolved mystery of ineffable horrors.

Inspired by I-f in the late 90ies Ian Martin started to follow the path of underground quality music. Always finding his own sound within the alternative sonic spectrum.
Nowadays Ian Martin is a seasoned artist and DJ in the underground electronic music scene. His DJ sets create exhilarating combinations and musical and apocalyptic madness. From acid to electro and techno, he always presents the pearls of the genres.
As an artist he has more than 25 releases on his track record on labels like Bunker, Strange Life, Pinkman, New York Haunted, Minimal Rome and many others. Always eclectic, ranging from electro, minimal wave, techno, dark ambient and drones. Melancholic at times.
His weekly show SEER on the epochal Intergalactic FM has brought kaleidoscopic music into the scene. Also he has residencies at Operator and Mutant.
Being full of contradictions (sophisticated yet raw, apocalyptic yet celestial), his sets guarantee originality, stormy and dessonant melodic mania. Music for the Universe!

We're incredibly pleased to welcome Dissemblance to the GF series. She is a very talented and poetic artist that the entire GF team have been following for a while and had the pleasure of meeting in person at Intergalactic FM fest this year. You can check her lauded album “Centauresse” on the mighty L.I.E.S. records, following up her 2019 debut album "Over The Sand" for Mannequin Records. Her productions bring a variety of sounds and invite us to explore the full range of her musical dynamics, leading the listener into her universe where the border between dreams and reality blurs into one, with no tangible beginning or end. If you happen to be in Paris on Friday, December 8th, do not miss her Dissemblance Live at Petit Bain to enjoy the full experience. For the series, she has crafted a special session where she gives us a unique and magical mix out of her studio in Paris, incorporating exclusive vocals and Rhodes improvisations over 80 beautiful minutes of thoughtful and sensory music. She plays tracks from the 80s: Schleimer K, DZ Lectric & Anthon Shield, taking a funky turn with Girl Unit, to arrive to some dirty acid music by Beverly Hills 808303, ending with a solo rough Rhodes impro through the Moog Cluster Flux pedal. Although he is well known for his electro and EBM compositions, his talent and acumen know no bounds with more recent releases colouring outside of these lines. His vision was to create a vibe “where the subs are devastating and the beats are raw". He underpins his work with booming Miami bass and draws on his love for 80s hip-hop to conjure up his signature style. He's etched his mark on deeply loved and respected labels such as L.I.E.S., Creme Organization, Bordello A Parigi, Pinkman, Viewlexx, Murder Capital, his own RotterHague, and many others. Famously dexterous in the booth, DJ Overdose has well-honed skills that make him able to tear up a larger stage or connect with a more intimate crowd. Her show features artists such as Pi Electronics resident Zorz, LVRIN, and others. When she's not playing Athens staples like Astron Bar, which sadly closed, she has been making the rounds at festivals like Healthy Summer Fest and others.
