Welcome to Galiyayo's Official Soundcloud.  Galiyayo music is raw, honest, and always real. His music is Influenced by such great producers as (but not limited to); George Duke, Gamble & Huff, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Teddy Riley, Brian McKnight, Burt Bacharach, Fred Hammond, Nile Rodgers, Narada Michael Walden, Prince, David Bottrill, Bob Rock, Rick Rubin and Dr. Dre.  

Born Adrian Hill (November 26, 1975) better known as Galiyayo grew up all over the world.  His parents were both military and traveled abroad quite often. "I've traveled the world extensively while growing up with parents in the military.  I didn't appreciate experiencing so much cultural diversity early on; however, until I started producing music in high school at Ramstein AFB in Germany.  My parents were big into music and everyday my brother and sister would hear everything from the 70's up to what then the present, jazz included, blaring from the house speakers.  My Grandmother, Uncles, Mother and Father, who are all from Louisiana, were all musicians, so it was only logical for me to pick music up so instinctively."

During a recent interview, Galiyayo was asked when did he know he wanted to be a producer; "HA! I'll never forget it! One day I was at my friend, David Palmer's house after school.  He and I talked music all the time, as he was learning piano from the musicians at his church back home in North Carolina.  He told me his mother had just bought him a CD of a new group called Jodeci and that he had listened to it the night before.  He went on to tell me I wasn't going to believe what I was going to hear.  After I heard "Forever My Lady' I KNEW that was the the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak.  I was floored hearing what DeVante was doing with those synths and different chord progressions.  I mean, I'd knew I wanted to be a music producer from listening to Guy featuring Teddy Riley and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis with all of the work they had done with the S.O.S Band, Human League, Janet Jackson, etc.  But, for some reason, the way DeVante's production and the engineering genius of Prince Alexander Charles meshed, lit a fire in my belly that hasn't stopped since!  It's all part of my MOVEMENT BABY!"

When asked about his first experience in a professional studio, Galiyayo's responded, "The other producers were amazed at how well I did in the studio the first time. They explained that I took to it like a duck takes to water! And the studio engineers couldn’t believe I had never been into the studio prior to that experience.  All those years of learning computer programs, studying music by listening to music and dissecting individual instrument parts from some of my favorite artists, really paid off.  I stay humble though, as I continue to learn new things on a daily basis”

What you will hear from Galiyayo is an eclectic blend of different genres of music cleverly fused together in a well balanced concoction of rhythmic eargasms.  With penchant for perfection, an unparalleled work ethic, and a passion for all things studio related; it doesn't seem that Galiyayo and his MOVEMENT are not slowing down any time soon.
