Low End Activist returns to Sneaker Social Club next month with his next album ‘Hostile Utopia’. 

Through his productions, LEA excels at storytelling, casting a self-reflexive lens over his roots via the medium of crushing, future-rushing soundsystem sonics. On ‘Hostile Utopia’, LEA sums up the conflicting emotions attached to memories of home (Oxford, UK) - how it’s possible to feel nostalgic for the griminess of urban and suburban Britain, its ordinary tales of bitterness and frustration, but also its intrinsic passion and solidarity. The album includes a stellar lineup of features including Killa P, Cadence Weapon, Emz and on the track we’re premiering today’, ’Mercenary’, LEA enlists Nottingham MC Mez.

SWEET SOUL

Vienna the Canadian producer is back on Radio Juicy with this new single release. Decorations is a throwback to his original sonic signature but with a twist of new arrangements and flair. Joined by idntrmmbr as a featuring artist, Vienna provides a tune rooted in the groove of drum & bass topped with smooth chords and sparkles of various textures. The intro and breakdown are spacious and almost haunting, not shying away from dissonance or irregular rhythms. Decorations is composed of three main harmonic elements, the Rhodes, guitar and Moog Matriarch. Each element plays a simple role but combined they make up a rich tapestry of sound. A song that will impress and please by its simplicity and originality.

Galli Gani is back with another EP "Papier Mâché" !

After the EPs "Déjà Vu" and "Rendez-Vous", he continues his trip with 7 electronic beats tracks : some "blank page" productions and some "sampled based" tracks.

Always between electronic because of the connotated sounds and organic because of the process to record some elements (percs, voice), it' also both digital because of the virtuals instruments and analog because of the gears used machines to process or record some sounds (sp 404, contact microphone).

Almost self-produced, because of the help for the mixing and the mastering, everything else comes out of his little head.

Wa Kee Up

Leipzig-based bass music producer DRANQ released a 12” EP “Serpentine” on Beijing record label Ran Music’s bass sub-label Ran Rad. This EP has included 5 tracks made by his DIY modular synth. DRANQ has combined classic acid and electro sound elements with contemporary low frequency sound design,  lively precise melody sequences are wrapped by the warm phat bass lines, deliver the most expected climax moment to the dance floor like an agile reptiles indicated by the EP title. “Serpentine” is the second vinyl release of Ran Rad, the artwork is made by German visual designer Superquiet, mastered and cut by the well respected Leipzig bass music scene veteran LXC.

Early influences of Jungle, Hip Hop and Hardcore merged into bass heavy gangster music for nerds. After growing up fascinated by recordings of late 90s UK club music, playing in bands and diving into the realms of experimental Hardcore, DRANQ got involved with Dubstep around 2007 and quickly rediscovered a long lost love for Hip Hop, beats and everything halftime. Putting together events and connecting with the local scene in Bremen manifested his interest in Breakcore and other 'off genres' and lead to first attempts in writing music outside of a band setting using a variety of aliases along the way.

Fast forward a bit and DRANQ's further musical development turned into a full on obsession with sound. Now residing in Leipzig he spent the last two years working on a body of music full time, bringing it all together with a DIY attitude, enthusiasm for weird hardware and a self made modular synth.

DRANQ's music is combining the feel of old breakdance records with a modern approach to experimental beats. An ongoing attempt to break ground between catchy and odd, wonky tape sound and the open ended possibilities of the laptop era.
