Hip Hop fanatic Beast  releases his brand new single ‘‘No Trouble’ off his forthcoming new album ‘Take A Minute’. It’s laid back, take life as it comes vibe, is the perfect introduction to a wider audience. Beast is a highly talented Hip Hop star in the making.

Beast, who was born in KwaMashu, KZN, grew up listening to the sounds of Kwaito and House that were prevalent in the township at the time.  Although elements of both can be found in his music today, it wasn’t until he discovered Hip hop that he truly found his musical voice.

The response he got from rapping for friends, and in dingy corners at parties, led him to pursue his dream of taking his art to the next level, culminating in a meeting with DM Media in Durban.

Since working together, Beast has slowly but surely grown from strength to strength and his first single ‘Leopard Skin’ achieved 3000 downloads on the first day of release, and now sits at over 8000.  The song was voted 2012 Hip Hop song of the year on Gagasi FM, and became one of only a handful of songs to be repeated on debut a show on 5FM.  Beast released his debut mixtape ‘Global Warming’ in June 2012 and soon became the biggest selling mixtape in KZN in 2012, and made him one of the most in demand live artists of the year, from clubs to government gigs and everything in between.  The 8th of September 2012 saw him and his Select Play production team win a number of awards at the Original Material Awards (KZN Hip hop awards) including Best Newcomer, Best Mixtape 2012, Best Video 2012, and Best Producer, and Single of the Year 2012, beating out Zakwe and Abdus to the honour.

Having turned his attention to recording, Beast will release his highly anticipated 1st album in the 3rd quarter of 2014 through Gallo Record Company.  The album will not take Beast’s musical talent to the whole country, but will also feature collaborations with big name artists including Sifiso Ncawe and Zakwe.

BISHOP releases his brand new single, a remix of the acclaimed Lucky Dube track ‘Remember Me’. 

Bishop was born in the town of Selebi Phikwe in Botswana.  He began rapping at the age of 12, whilst in Grade 8 at Lebogang Junior School.  Bishop and his crew became the 1st from Phikwe to record professionally and went on have a number a number of charting hits in Botswana.

After much local success, Bishop decided to go it alone, culminating in a chance meeting with Gallo Record Company in 2014.  After much discussion, it was agreed that Bishop remix the acclaimed Lucky Dube track ‘Remember Me’. 

The result is the ‘Remember Me 2014 Remix’.  A perfectly balanced combination of Bishop’s street conscious conceptual style, and his, and musical partner DJ Bino’s, uncanny ability to blend a beat with any song that is thrown their way.

‘Remember Me 2014’ is the perfect homage to the genius of Lucky Dube, with a 2014 contemporary edge
