I recorded this mix live at Euphoria Music Festival in the bass tent area. As with all of my live mixes, it's improvised and based off of the crowd. I had a great crowd and a great time. I heard there's some go-pro video footage that I'm gonna try to get a hold of as well.

Discoveries in the past years regarding faster than light travel have finally resulted in a prototype, light-speed space cruiser. The uncertainty of a project of such immense proportions has led to a consensus for a small crew size for its maiden voyage; a man and a woman, in order to provide company to one another, and for the prospect of longevity, should the trip be successful and result in a landing, and eventual colonization. 

Receiver satellites have picked up on a groundbreaking transmission, containing a one way message from the vessel. This is this recording of that transmission, transcending space and time, brought here from an unknown location and date. A future love story.

Euphoria Music Festival Essential Mix [Free Download]

"We were first introduced to Galvanix through our close friendship with the guys at Gravitas Records. As part of the large collective of artists, Galvanix's name was introduced. Listening to Galvanix's mixes (HERE) it was easy to see that he knows his craft and he has the same depth and breadth of musical interests as we at Waxhole do. Asking him to kick off our monthly DJ series was a no-brainer. "What happens when you ask a working DJ/label head/show promoter to do a mix during March, the month of SXSW and thus the busiest month of his year?  Well yeah the mix doesn't get done.  Our fault for scheduling the dude at the wrong time, but for those that have been waiting and have lost hope, have no fear!  The 6th Man Of The Year Award winner two years in a row, Galvanix, stepped in and has produced this mix for us, and word is he's working on an April mix as well.  He's the man, in more ways than one, and this shows how great he is.

So to the mix!  Using nothing but posted tracks on the blog from the month of February, he's added tunes from just about every genre we dig and he's done so without skewing to one sound or the other...unless you count GOOD as a sound.   You might remember some of Galvanix's past Waxhole Mix appearances and he's doin it for us again under pressure and under duress, and carrying it off with aplomb."
