Djack - The D Is Silent

GAMADON (aka GAvin MAc DONagh) started buying records and DJing in Dublin in 1996. He is a vinyl only DJ and record collector - Irish, currently based in London.

• He runs the Warehouse Manifesto label with the first vinyl release due out in Feb/March 2022.

• He curates the Warehouse Manifesto mix series which he started in 2021. Some of his guests to date include Umwelt, Ben Sims, Claude Young, Joey Beltram, Jensen Interceptor, Sync 24 and Alienata.

• Most notably, he supported The Prodigy, on their European tour in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg in 2015-2016.

• Gamadon has previously had his mixes published by labels such as Bass Agenda, Dark Science Electro, Gated, Gladio Operations, Nocta Numerica, Vortex Tracks, Distrito 91, Masa Series, Lepton, Hilltown Disco, Digital Distortions, Glory Berlin, Noise To Meet You and Elektrodos.

I have put together a series of deeper 4/4 mixes from my collection, ranging from deep house to the deeper side of techno. Not the type that I usually mix in my deep-space electro mixes or higher energy techno and electro mixes, but a good opportunity to bring something slightly different to the (turn)table!

This mix includes tracks from Vince Watson, ReKaB, G-Prod, Daniel Stefanik and includes a magnificent track from Dylan Forbes from Irish label 393 Recordings. All vinyl of course. Enjoy the journey!

Electronic Convergence Mix - November 2023

The third of my three deep 4/4 mixes for EC in 2023 rounds off with a more Detroit feel to it than the previous two mixes. Dominated by the wonderful P0lyrhythm (artist) on Yore (label) with notable contributions from Delano Smith, Taupe and Gilbert.

It has been a pleasure to present this series of deep house/techno mixes, so thanks to Keith Anderson for giving me the freedom to present these sets. Next year (2024) I will return to EC with a monthly deep electro show, so lots of records to get through in the coming months.

For November’s mix, I have put together a deep tech mix with Detroit influences throughout. Quite a few tracks from ReKaB, who is an amazing electro producer as well as his ability to create excellent 4/4 tracks. A real talent. 

The mix also features more than one tracks for producers such as Sacha Dive, Wallace, DX-9 and a few others on Acquit (label), as mentioned, ReKaB on Yore (label) and Los Hermanos. This month's EC mix is deep techno outing with definite influences from Detroit and the more soulful, emotive side of techno/house music.  Some exquisite tracks from UK producers like John Shima, ReKaB, Vince Watson, Kirk Degiorgio and Nuron. Nuron's remarkable album on De:Tuned deserves special recognition and includes 5 tracks in this mix.

Also strong representation from across the pond from Norm Tally, Eddie Fowlkes and Los Hermanos. Also, two notable inclusions from Italian producer Roberto Bosco on Sonorous Waves. Enjoy!

Minder 098 - GAMADON

GAMADON (aka GAvin MAc DONagh) started buying records and DJing in Dublin in 1996. His first gigs were in his hometown of Mullingar in 1997 with Martian Arts, supporting the likes of 808 State and Sunil Sharpe.

Moving to Vancouver, Canada in 1999, Gavin signed up with the Pound Recordings crew under the name ‘Dex of Hazzard’ and was resident at their weekly parties in The Palladium playing breakbeat and electro.

In the past few years, Gamadon has played all over Ireland and Europe, including being the main support act of UK legends, The Prodigy, on their European tours in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg, playing breakbeat to sold-out crowds of up to 8,000.

In 2016, Gamadon established the Warehouse Manifesto (WM) label, with the main objective to release his own productions on vinyl. It is hoped that 2018 will be the year that WM001 hits the crates worldwide.

•	GAMADON (aka GAvin MAc DONagh) started buying records and DJing in 1996.
•	Established the Warehouse Manifesto (WM) record label and guest mix series.
•	WMR001 was released in February 2022 and is distributed on Bandcamp and Juno records.
•	Had the privilege of warming up for The Prodigy, on their European tour in cities such as Berlin, Hanover, Prague and Luxembourg in 2015-2016.
•	First gigs were in my hometown of Mullingar in 1997 with Martian Arts, supporting the likes of 808 State and Sunil Sharpe in The Stables.
•	By 1998, I had secured myself gigs playing techno at the legendary Genius night @ Kitchen and also The POD alongside Warren Kiernan & Joe McGrath. I also played at Derek F’s acid techno parties @ Tivoli Theatre and 13thFloor/McGraths’ supporting Dave the Drummer, Chris Liberator and Lawrie Immersion.
•	Moving to Vancouver, Canada in 1999, I signed up with the Pound Recordings crew under the name ‘Dex of Hazzard’ and was resident at their weekly parties in The Palladium playing breakbeat and electro. I was also invited to play club Sonar and various raves around the city. I also played club Rebar in the city of Edmonton.
•	In 2001, I moved back to Mullingar and started a weekly hard-techno night called ‘The Beat Bunker’ in Daly’s in Mullingar, giving local DJs a chance to play in an intimate venue.
•	In 2003, the next destination was Bermuda. For the three years living and working in this scenic, secluded island, I co-ran the Calisthenics house music parties with DJ Andy Schnerg of Toronto. The Hip Therapy parties were a great success, being Bermuda’s only House and Techno night.
•	I started the Disco Nouveau parties in Mullingar in 2008. This monthly event was held in The Stables live music venue – hosting DJs like Sunil Sharpe, Fran Hartnett, Al Keegan, Niall Power, Barry Redsetta and even DJ Mes, label owner of Legendary US West-Coast house label Guesthouse!). This night ran for 4 memorable years.
•       Long-standing resident with Project Basement, based in Galway.
