The sense of dread Twilight felt once she realized her future was in the hands of Principal Cinch must have been unbearable. In times like those, our minds tend to race and scatter worriedly, and we have to remind ourselves frequently to remain calm and think logically. The nature of this song is an expression of that mindset; it gazes deep into Twilight's thoughts as she swings back and forth between being overtaken by emotion, and being steady in calculated thought.

So this song is the prequel to a song I released a good bit ago called "Boutique Fire" which explains the story a bit more. I'm not sure yet whether or not I wanna make more songs involving this storyline; I've thought about releasing the entire story as a written piece, which I might still do (probably on my DeviantArt, since I have one of those now), so keep an eye out for that!

This is the first song I've done in a while where I went all out with the vocals, and overall I think it turned out okay - the mixing and mastering stage of this one was a big pain, so hopefully it doesn't sound *too* bad on whatever you happen to be listening on. I plan on remastering a bunch of my older material in the future, and I might throw this song in there too, we'll see!
