Bredren (DISPATCH/PROXIMITY/DEMAND/DIFFRENT/FLEXOUT/BROKEN AUDIO, INCEPTION/RADAR/BREAK-FAST)

We’re proud to bring you our latest Friday Feature, one of the biggest we’ve seen yet courtesy of Belgian heavyweights Bredren. Consisting of three very good friends (Sebastien Albert, Dieter Geerinck, Adrien Van Dijk), all individually active in various scenes from dubstep, to drum and bass, they came together and decided that they had too much in common not to kick off a drum and bass project, where Bredren was born. In a short two years, Bredren have placed 2nd in the SUNANDBASS DJ Competition entitling them to a spot on the line up, they have released tracks under Proximity Recordings, Break-Fast Audio, Broken Audio, and have gained support from names such as Loxy, Skeptical, Basher and many more. Bredren describes their sound as deep, dark, and minimal, but instantly recognizable, and this exact sound placed them in K-Mag’s “20 To Watch In 2013”. Bredren’s influences revolve around names such as SpectraSoul, Alix Perez, Skeptical, Basher, Xtrah, Loxy, DBR UK, Data, and many more. Travelling to Outlook Festival, and this year playing shows in Germany, Poland, the UK, Ireland, Holland, and Croatia, its evident these boys are spreading their wings, and they aren’t playing.  Info and clips on Bredrens debut LP “Trinity” on Proximity Recordings is out next week, with the full release due on the 17th of November in both digital and CD format, featuring 15 mind numbing tracks.

A huge big ups to Bredren on an absolute stomper of a mix, keep your ears peeled for those unreleased dubs!

Their interest in electronic music emerged in late 2003, and by 2007 they began to release their own productions to the delight of both fans and the label bosses they looked up to from the start of their career. With inspiration coming from producers like Technical Itch, The Panacea, Evol Intent, Cooh, Audio and Dylan. The Boys quickly found their own signature style, combining frantic breakbeats with 4/4 kickdrums and complex arrangements, resulting in a hi-voltage musical assault. They have also been instrumental in establishing the "crossbreed" sub genre across a wider audience.

The identical twins on-stage presence is unmatched in its visual aspect as well as its energy, making them a unique live show and very popular across Europe. Having worked in the industry since 16, and now at the tender age of 21, the Terrible Twins have are regulars on the Drum & Bass / Hardcore circuit, headlining regularly in places such as Estonia, Belarus, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Netherlands and many more. They are residents of  the bibles of dark drum and bass, and hardcore, Therapy Sessions and Prspct, and are even the promoters of both in St Petersburg. They have released tracks on Yellow Stripe, Prspct, LB and Position Chrome.
