An orchestrated version of the Final Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I haven't released a sonic remix in a while and wanted to try one this morning. I tried to experiment a little so it's not amazingly close to the original. I also composed it from ear so there may be duff notes here and there.

sweat is dripping down my forehead and i’m wiping it on rhythm
tempo fixed to Big L spitting put it on and i don’t understand it
as i understand the system that i’ve built to split the difference
between everything im running from approaching in the distance
distant city streets i used to sleep with em below my window
widowed from that house i had to dip and let it wither into
memory and nothing else an act of cowardice to kill
the tempo i had felt and didn’t want it battled with myself
i relive it every night
when it gets quiet and the lights are out i see it
when my eyes are closed
projected in my mind
in slow motion it’s a funeral
of what i couldn’t cope with at the time infecting in my soul
exceptions i expected i was patient for the wrong reasons
waiting on some sort of saving grace i didn’t earn
turn the seasons
every passing change in weather in me terror manifested
as i realized the assistance i was desperate was rejected 
in this tumbling life you gotta learn how to see
not what’s in front of you but what it could be
things are calmer and i’m not sure that it’s better
so much easier to blame it on what’s happening and leverage
anger in directions far away from where i’m set and
stuck the mud is only here cause i put water on the dirt that i came from

temperamentally, i tend to never leave my bed
head is spinning yet at least i feel ahead again
said to my cousin lately “fuck it, i’m the only one depending on me”
all my homies know i’m distant they get to dipping on me

honest, i been feeling stuck
time is different when it’s something steady given up
pursuing fixing situations written shittily in lyrics
leave to piece together difficulty, only please the critics
holy fuck i need to change
