Established Duo, Band and Solo Singer/Guitarist available for public, private and corporate gigs. playing all kinds of music from the 1960's to the present day and a lot of stuff in between.

The Upbeats were a three piece band formed in early 2004 consisting of vocalist/rhythm guitarist (Dan Noguera) lead guitarist  (Lee Scarr) and drummer (Stuart Woodmansey) the latter who had once performed as a stand in percussionist for the acclaimed band Squeeze. They plied their trade in the back of a pub down Holderness Road in Hull called The Crown. Here they honed their craft and started to get noticed. After building up a decent following due to work commitments and family, 4 years later they split. Dan continued to perform acoustically on his own busking, playing parties and pretty much anywhere he could untill meeting Mike Rex another lead guitarist through a mutual friend. They bonded started playing as a duo under the same name and played gigs all over Yorkshire for over 4 years but then Mike had to quit due to Family commitments. Dan still sang did acoustic solo gigs and stood in for various bands on the circuit until he met Danny Laws. Danny was another lead guitarist of local outfits. They both had a lot In common, a love of clothes, mod culture, football, Dan rugby and a passion for classic timeless music and rock n roll they continue to perform today under the same name playing public  and private functions all over Yorkshire and beyond building up an audience. Playing all sorts from rock and roll to indie. Influences include The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Johnny Cash, Hendrix and Stone Roses to name but a few. Always decent gigs and get the crowd going.
