This DJ from Japan has been mixing for 5 years. He credits the Japanese Music Trio "Pa's Lam System" as being the main inspiration for his DJ Journey. He went to get a DDJ400 after seeing them in Shibuya. Since starting in VR he's played at a lot of venues like Ghostclub, Loner, and Shelter, and he's recently been announced as a performer at the SANRIO Virtual Festival of 2024. His favorite genres to play out are Techno and Breaks. He said the most rewarding part about DJing is the great feeling it gives him, or as he put it "When he DJ's like sex". For today's mix, he said that he envisioned a late-night rave event and that his favorite song on today's mix is the Piem remix of Watchu Gonna Do by Dateless. Outside of DJing his favorite activity is playing League of Legends. I tried going through his Twitter page to see if I could find out his main but I think you'll just have to ask him if you're curious enough. His favorite non-em artist is Thom Yorke, and he doesn't like spicy food. You can find him on Twitter and Youtube and he runs an IRL event in Japan known as 1/2 Junction. It takes place at Club Mogra in Akihabara and features VR talent with live VJs. Some of y'all might already know about this event. If you're ever out there when it's going on you should make time to attend. He recently announced that the next edition of 1/2 Junction will take place on April 13th. Was asked by @superjuice2point1 to do a set for the 2nd Net Label Night stream event that focuses on one specific label and so I decided to go with the excellent Mutant Bass Records, originally started by Kanji Kinetic and more recently rebooted and overseen by Sample Junkie.

I admit to there being glaring omissions here - it was hard to cram everything I wanted to play into 45 mins as well as namecheck all the important people (my original attempt at this set was an hour long and I had to cut it down!), but I think it's a decent attempt at chronicling some of the label's fantastic output from both the early days and the reboot.

Coming from Florida, this DJ, producer, and singer has been mixing since August of 2021! He was inspired to pick up DJing from his brother who some of y'all may or may not know is dj-jo and from Sly Fest 2021. Since starting in VR he's played at various venues and events with some highlights including Rizumu, VRCon, Tube, TVRS Studio, 7D, Schism, Star Party, TUNL, Hardbox, Kaleidosky, Boat, BCTO, VKet, his very own Nurtured event, and others! His favorite genres to mix are UKG, Bassline, House, DNB, and his original edits of Porter Robinson's songs. He told me that today's mix is inspired by his newfound love of artists like Sammy Virji, Oppidan, MPH, and general UKG and Bassline-type beats. His favorite song on today's set is Still Here (With the ones that I Came With) by Skrillex, Porter Robinson, and Bibi Bourelly. Outside of DJing, he's a Licenced Practical Nurse and he takes care of intellectually disabled individuals. His favorite activity outside of DJing is League of Legends where he is an Aatrox main whom he has 1.7 million master points for. And, his favorite non edm song is Little Blue by Jacob Collier.
