From Oak Harbor, Washington, this DJ discovered his passion for mixing in 2019 after watching Ekali at Firefly Fest & watching all the DJ's on Insomniac's live streams during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, he is also learning how to produce music.

He's played at various VRChat venues, including Shelter, Vaultage, SnowGRID, OFFSHORE, Techno Tuesday, Breakcore Takeover, and his own venue, The Mob. His favorite genres to mix are Hard Techno and Jersey Club, which never fail to get the crowd going. For him, the best part about DJ'ing is seeing people dance and interact with his music, regardless of the crowd's size.

The set that he's put together was inspired by his past three major sets at Shelter, SNOWGrid, and Vaultage. He wanted to take the audience on a journey and showcase all aspects of his mind while DJ'ing during the past year. One of his favorite tracks in this mix is Amagii's remix of Love Burns by Nazaar, a song that brings out a lot of emotion for him and his friend Halo.

When he's not DJ'ing, he enjoys longboarding and playing Call of Duty with his friends Mexii and Azarya. Despite being known for playing Hard Techno and Jersey Club, he's a huge indie fan, with Quiet Light by The National being one of his favorite songs. A lot of his IRL friends are actually surprised to know that he likes playing hard genres.

This DJ and producer from Seattle has been mixing for 11 years. Starting off life as a musician in multiple bands, he started getting into music production when Skrillex was first putting American audiences on to dubstep. Being a performing artist, he reluctantly picked up a Numark Mixtrack and then started to learn how to play out the music he was making. Since then he's fallen in love with DJ'ing. He feels that anyone can mix, but not everyone can tell a story or take you on a journey with a mix. Nothing rewards him more than finishing a mix and feeling like people "got it" His go-to genres are anything at 150 BPM, a bunch of Drum n Bass, and he's working hard on incorporating speedcore. This mix specifically mainlines drum and bass. Bouncing off of that, this mix sets the stage as the summer's end mix, which segues from hard and fun summer songs to autumnal Seasonal Affective Disorder drum and bass. Outside of DJ'ing he works as an engineer on an oil rig. Thankfully the Hibernia S.E. rig has top-grade Internet connectivity and ample space in the accommodation quarters for VR use. 

He said he's going to be taking steps to remind everyone that he produces music. Throughout the year of 2024 he will be releasing all the stuff he's been writing and stockpiling in 2023. This DJ and sometimes rarely kinda maybe producer from Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada, has been mixing for almost 2 years. on Feb 12th 2022 he attended his first shelter event. he was in an overflow instance and seeing all of the people hanging out in the alley gave him a good feeling about the event. it was further validated when the gate opened for the first time and he ran down the stairs with the crowd of people - he really started to get a sense of what he got himself into. When the music started he was hooked and really wanted to try DJing in VR. He started attending every weekend which resulted in him meeting more new people and before he knew it he found a large group of awe-inspiring people. He's super happy he found this community and loves everyone in it from the bottom of his heart. In fact, the most rewarding thing about his whole experience is all the people he's met. Since starting he's played at a few venues including Techno Tuesday, SnowGRID, Alurek, Shelter, Static, Lyoko, Comeback, TUNL, Wired Voices, Breakcore Takeover, Redacted, and OFFSHORE which he co-owns with his friend Clyde Machine. His go-to genres are Trance, Breakcore, Techno, and Drum n Bass. For this mix, he said he's always wanted to make a mix for himself, so these are all songs that hold a special place in his heart. This stylish DJ from Atlantic Canada has been mixing for about a year now. He started learning how to DJ because of the encouragement from his good friends and fellow staff over at Friend Club, who kept asking him and teaching him things about DJing. Since starting he's played at a few venues in VR, including Boat, Shelter, Black Market, Static, and his own venue, Golden Sunset. His go-to genre to play is fun House music from the '90s and early 2000s. He really appreciates anything with a fun atmosphere and a danceable beat. For him, dancing around and sharing the music he loves with friends is his favorite part of DJing. For this week's Garage30 mix, he wanted to share some sunny sounds he's been enjoying this year. His favorite song on this mix is the Can 7 Supermarket Mix of Sing it Back by Moloko. He goes out of his way to find Can7's remixes because they really how to transform a track into a summery fun masterpiece. Outside of DJing, some of his favorite hobbies are VR Fashion and Cosplay Videography. In fact, if you've ever seen this DJ in VR before, you'll know that he always has a nice outfit that has a very clear theme. I love seeing his outfits to be honest. One fun fact about him is that he has a bunch of Championship medals from playing curling with my high school team. Also, he spent a lot of his youth volunteering with Canadian indie & folk music festivals. Because of this Lewis Takes Off His Shirt by Owen Pallett is a song that still resonates deeply with him today, after seeing it performed live in a thunderstorm.

This DJ from Raymond Washington has been mixing for about a year and a half now. His love for music and the EDM Rave Scene, in general, is what inspired him to pick up his decks for the first time. Since starting in VR, he's played at venues like VRUnderground, Nyx Abyss, Rave to the Grave, Y2K, and the open decks at Sanctum. The best part of it all for him is seeing the crowd vibe with what he's putting together. He said that it's the best feeling when you ace a double or triple and see people go crazy with you. He's a multi-genre DJ, but the main genres he mixes with are Happy/UK Hardcore, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Riddim, and Bass House. For today he's prepared a mix inspired by all the people and DJs who have inspired and influenced him, and the friends he's made along the way. People like Ray Volpe, Tynan, and his best friend Terkoiz are people he credits for helping him become who he is today. One of his favorite songs in today's mix is This Could Be Us by Virtual Riot, which he first heard as the last track in Virtual Riot's 2022 Lost Lands set. Outside of DJing he really likes working on cars and hanging out with friends on Discord. His favorite non-EDM song is Thinking by NF, and for his senior project he made a documentary that went over 2020 and the impact of the pandemic on high schoolers. 

He will be releasing his first single in the next few months, and he runs a weekly rave every Saturday at Midnight Pacific called Satur4ve. This DJ from the Den-Bosch area of The Netherlands has been mixing since October of 2019. She began her journey when the Rhythm game "Spin Rhythm XD" popped up on her Twitter feed which prominently featured the ability to play the game using DJ decks. I actually also own this game and thought it was fun asf to play with my DJ board. This feature, however, led her to buy the cheapest DJ deck she could find which helped her explore Virtual DJ a bit. It wasn't until 2021 when she first watched Straz's video about the VRChat rave scene when she fell in love with the idea of DJing even more. She feels that she's not very creative when it comes to making music from scratch, so DJing helps her express herself musically. Playing tracks she already enjoys in unique and interesting ways, and creating journeys for the listener is what kinda made her invest more of her time into DJing. 

Since starting she's played at a few venues and events including but not limited to Fishbowl, KYUUB, ARCTFEST, MR. SHOEZ, TECHNEU, Claustrophobia, and Vibefest. Her go-to genres include Breakcore, Techno, IDM, Ambient, and Noise. Catching the audience off-guard with tracks that make people go "wow...", but in a good way, is one of her favorite parts of DJing. 

For today's mix, she wanted to revisit her first set ever in VR which she performed at FUCK YOU TOO, which is the name of an event I swear. She fondly looks back at that set, and she really wanted to make a spiritual successor for it. Garage30 gives her the time to fully sink her teeth into it and make it the best she can. Her favorite song in today's mix is a song called "Quotient".* When elaborating she said, "Piano is an instrument that has a hold over me like no other. And it's a track from one of the first Albums I've ever bought with my own money. So it means something to me I guess." 

Outside of DJ'ing she really likes completing puzzles with her partner, she has and uses an Osu! lanyard that she got 4 years ago even though she hasn't played Osu! in over a decade, and her favorite non-EDM song is Blossom by Porter Robinson, which I know might not really make sense to some since it's featured on a predominantly electronic album, but I'm like pretty sure the only "edm-y" element of the song is Porter's nurture voice effect, but the song is like mainly a piano that sounds like an acoustic guitar and singing so I'll let we'll give her a pass this time. 

Finally, she's always open for bookings, and she generally streams every day from 8 PM CEST to 10 PM CEST on Twitch.

This DJ and producer from Louisiana has been mixing for 2 years. When they were younger and mostly listening to pop music, music as an art form always seemed like a cool but unobtainable path in life. It wasn't until seeing their friends dance to EDM and being introduced to artists such as Jai Wolf and Porter Robinson, did they realize that it was possible to make art out of music as well. Since starting in VR they've played at a variety of events and venues including but not limited to: Rift, Rizumu, Monochrome, TUNL, OBSDN, Janitors Closet, Breakcore Takeover, RTTG, Club Yerba, 7D, and more. Their go-to genres are Funk, Jersey Club, and J-core. The closeness they've obtained to the music they've fallen in love with, and being able to follow in their inspiration's footsteps and make people fall in love with music like they have is what drives them to keep DJing. They love the carefree, have fun, feel-good energy, so for today's mix they're to provide that type of energy to you all today. Their favorite song in today's mix is Little Fix Wonderland by Tenkitsune. Outside of DJing, they love bacterial research and they have a small lab that they work from in their house. Their first language is actually French, and their favorite non-edm song is Uneasy Hearts Weight The Most by Dance Gavin Dance.

This DJ from Dumb Ol' Texas has been mixing since 2013. Long ago when he was in Middle School, he attended a rave at an anime convention. The DJs played Happy Hardcore all night, which led to him becoming obsessed with S3RL and he wanted to do anything to get on a stage with a DJ. Since starting in VR about a year ago he's played at a lot of venues and pop-ups including but not limited to: Rift VR shoutout to Aztec, Spyral which was his first venue, Club Yerba, Kaleidosky, Kimexa's RNG, Noise Complaint, Backdrop Shoutout Nilla, TUNL shoutout J11, Concrete, and more popups than he can count. When I asked him what genres he really likes playing, he told me that he's really bad at describing genres and that he plays way too many, but the rough answer would be Hardcore, Techno, Funk/NuDisco, and Bass House. About 4 years ago he actually decided to put his decks up and stopped playing all together. He thought that was it. The fact that he was able to dust off his decks last year and continue playing has been the most rewarding part of the whole experience in VR so far. He also doesn't produce music, but he plays synths for other producers. Who knows maybe there will be some ID's in the future. 

For today's mix, he told me that since finding out about his episode he was bouncing around ideas for a mix-up until early this month. He's been on a hardcore kick for a while, then one afternoon he decided to explore a techno folder that he hadn't played yet. He was blown away by what was in the folder. That same night, Tessa Yessa was playing at Shelter and dropped a song called "Family on Acid". It was an instant download for him, and he then decided that he was going to play a techno set for today but he wanted to play it in a way that kept you guessing throughout. There are hints of Acid Techno, Dark Techno, Free Techno, and other genres sprinkled throughout. He doesn't want to spoil his favorite song in the mix, but he said that fans of Hotline Miami will know which one it is.

Outside of DJing, he is obsessed with Coffee, Wine, Spirits, Beer, and pretty much any beverage. If you want to start a conversation with him, just ask him about any of those. His favorite non-edm song is Robot Stop by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and He also used to play way too much World of Warcraft. The last time he played was during WoW's Sixth expansion named Legion. He played as a Tauren Paladin named BuffaloWings. I actually asked him what it would take for him to get back into it, and he told me something along the lines of "If anyone is even thinking about playing it I'm in".

Finally, there's always something brewing, however, at the time of this airing, he would've finished playing a live gig in San Diego. Shoutout to Gpot the GodPot, Ikra, Pizza Princess, and Kveta who I will also wish a happy belated birthday to.

This DJ and producer from DC has been mixing for 2 years. He's always been very in-depth with music. In fact, since 2015 he's been learning how to play Guitar, Piano, Drums, and Bass. He started performing with those instruments in 2017 and that kept up until about 2019. In 2021 he got into DJing and has been loving it ever since. He honestly just loves getting the chance to share his twisted music selection, and he gets inspired by the opportunity to provide a new sound to the public and the ones who enjoy his art. Since then he's played at many venues but some of his favorite places have been Black Market, Claustrophobia, Kaleidosky, Breakcore Takeover, and Baptizm which is his home venue. His favorite genres to play out are Jungle, Breakcore, Techno, progressive styles of music, and experimentalism. His goal for today's mix is to bring his personal music style that he doesn't share with others much; he mostly wants you to get a taste of what his unique love of music is like. His favorite song on today's mix is BOH-ee by Toma Kami. It's the first song and he can't get enough of the drums.

Outside of DJing, he loves making art and abstract images. He also really enjoys thrifting, he finds nice clothes once in a while and he feels that it's become a big part of who he is.  Also, his favorite non-EDM genre is Spanish Rock. He particularly likes Los Bajos Fondos by No Somos Marineros.

Finally, He's a graphic designer and he's currently creating portraits of VR figures. He's also open for poster commissions. As a graphic designer myself I can super vouch for his work it's very nice.

This DJ from Texas has been mixing since July 8th of 2021. Back when they first started attending VR events in 2020 they enjoyed the nice change of pace. They fell in love with the scene and all the different kinds of music that were being played. They started becoming friends with DJs and at some point, they thought "I should try this too, maybe I can enjoy this". It's thanks to the friends that they made that they became a DJ. They told me that they tend to drop things quickly, but this is one of the few things that they can come back to and enjoy. The most rewarding part about this whole thing is being able to express their emotions to people through music. Playing for others helps them feel like they're opening up to friends and strangers. They also just really like sharing the music they like with others. They added, "I'm very grateful to anyone who listens to my sets. This scene has truly saved me". 

Since starting in VR they've played at various venues and events including but not limited to, Shelter, Loner, Rizumu, Slyfest, Static, Star Party, TUNL, Snow Grid, offshore, Ragehauz, and their very own Techno Abyss formerly known as Techno Tuesday; and their go-to genres are 140, Drum & Bass, Wave, and Techno. For today's mix, they wanted to play something emotional, something that they feel. They told me that they have 2 favorite songs in today's set, which are "Now We're Strangers" by Whtvs, and "We're Burning" by Skelar 

They said, "The timing for this release is perfect because it's my last set of the year, so it just feels right to end the year with this mix."

Outside of DJing their favorite thing to do is to be around people they care about. They also told me that they're really into K-pop so their favorite non-EDM song is LALALA by Stray Kids, but realistically all of Stray Kids's songs are their favorite.
