This DJ and producer from Seattle has been mixing for 11 years. Starting off life as a musician in multiple bands, he started getting into music production when Skrillex was first putting American audiences on to dubstep. Being a performing artist, he reluctantly picked up a Numark Mixtrack and then started to learn how to play out the music he was making. Since then he's fallen in love with DJ'ing. He feels that anyone can mix, but not everyone can tell a story or take you on a journey with a mix. Nothing rewards him more than finishing a mix and feeling like people "got it" His go-to genres are anything at 150 BPM, a bunch of Drum n Bass, and he's working hard on incorporating speedcore. This mix specifically mainlines drum and bass. Bouncing off of that, this mix sets the stage as the summer's end mix, which segues from hard and fun summer songs to autumnal Seasonal Affective Disorder drum and bass. Outside of DJ'ing he works as an engineer on an oil rig. Thankfully the Hibernia S.E. rig has top-grade Internet connectivity and ample space in the accommodation quarters for VR use. 

He said he's going to be taking steps to remind everyone that he produces music. Throughout the year of 2024 he will be releasing all the stuff he's been writing and stockpiling in 2023. Other than that he hopes people come through to all the upcoming OFFSHORE shows, and the various other shows he will be at during the rest of the year. I hope you all get to visit OFFSHORE too! This DJ from Texas has been mixing since July 8th of 2021. Back when they first started attending VR events in 2020 they enjoyed the nice change of pace. They fell in love with the scene and all the different kinds of music that were being played. They started becoming friends with DJs and at some point, they thought "I should try this too, maybe I can enjoy this". It's thanks to the friends that they made that they became a DJ. They told me that they tend to drop things quickly, but this is one of the few things that they can come back to and enjoy. The most rewarding part about this whole thing is being able to express their emotions to people through music. Playing for others helps them feel like they're opening up to friends and strangers. They also just really like sharing the music they like with others. They added, "I'm very grateful to anyone who listens to my sets. This scene has truly saved me". 

Since starting in VR they've played at various venues and events including but not limited to, Shelter, Loner, Rizumu, Slyfest, Static, Star Party, TUNL, Snow Grid, offshore, Ragehauz, and their very own Techno Abyss formerly known as Techno Tuesday; and their go-to genres are 140, Drum & Bass, Wave, and Techno. For today's mix, they wanted to play something emotional, something that they feel. They told me that they have 2 favorite songs in today's set, which are "Now We're Strangers" by Whtvs, and "We're Burning" by Skelar 

They said, "The timing for this release is perfect because it's my last set of the year, so it just feels right to end the year with this mix."

Outside of DJing their favorite thing to do is to be around people they care about. They also told me that they're really into K-pop so their favorite non-EDM song is LALALA by Stray Kids, but realistically all of Stray Kids's songs are their favorite. A little fun fact about them is that they used to play the Cello, and they were pretty good at it. This DJ and aspiring producer who lives somewhere near Minneapolis, Minnesota has been mixing for about 2 years. DJing started as something their friends wanted them to do - but it has now become some sort of an emotional release for them. Being able to have fun with friends and share music they enjoy is the best part of it all for them. Since starting they've played at venues such as Star Party, Club Yerba, Breakcore Takeover, Noise Complaint, Kaliedosky, Static, Janitor's Closet, TUNL, the MOB x WCKD event, Shelter, and Techno Abyss (formerly known as Techno Tuesday). They also don't necessarily have a go-to genre. They sort of play whatever their head or emotions grab onto in the moment. They're taking the opportunity to use today's mix as a form of self-expression and to let their mind just wander. This DJ from Malaysia has been mixing for 5 years. He cites DJs and producers like Banvox, DJ Sharpnel, Aiobahn, 808Gong, and Viticz as the main inspirations for his DJ journey. Since starting he's played at a lot of venues including but not limited to, Rizumu, Eerie, CLUB RUINS, Magenta, Lyoko, Pressure, ETHOS, and Shelter. His go-to genres include Bass House, J-Core, Jersey Club, and Future House which is what he calls his main genre to play. He's actually in Japan right now on a little trip and is going to be playing a set there. Today's set is a little taste of what he's going to be playing over there. This DJ and aspiring producer from Fargo North Dakota has been mixing for 3 years. He was gifted a DDJ 200 and he never looked back. He actually views DJing as an emotional output. That pretty much means that everything they play is mood-based. To him, the most rewarding part about DJing is Playing with friends and meeting new people. Mostly having fun tho. Since starting in VR he's played at a lot of venues including PSHQ, my old map LOGOS, Flow, and SnowGrid. His favorite genres to play include Dark Clubbing, Techno, and BreakCore but like I said earlier all of his mixes are dependent on how he's feeling so we might get something a little different today. 

When he's not DJing he enjoys dancing. His favorite non-EDM song is Ballad of a Paralyzed Citizen by The Faint, and a little factoid about him is that he's very shy in VR but is very much the opposite in person.
