Straight out of a backpack full of dreams, cassette tapes, and a Walkman stuck on repeat. Like a teddy bear with an urban soul, he grew up in the nineties — in between chalkboards and school parties, where bubbling tapes and gabber beats became his very first love.

“Teddy was that kid doing his homework in the backseat of a car with a busted speaker, while a DJ Moortje tape was blasting in the background.”

Raised between Amsterdam, Nieuwegein, and Curaçao, he carries the energy of three worlds:

Amsterdam gave him raw street vibes, crowded squares, mixtape culture, and those underground raves where you learned to dance before you even learned to walk.

Nieuwegein brought structure, classrooms, and the urge to push forward, no matter the chaos at home or out on the streets.

Curaçao gave him rhythm, sunshine, language, and a deep connection to salsa, merengue, tambú, bachata, dancehall, reggae, and bubbling — music that doesn’t just move, it lives.

“Teddy isn’t just an artist – he’s nostalgia with a subwoofer. He reminds a whole generation of what it felt like to grow up without smartphones, but with endless mixtapes and school parties where the dancefloor literally shook with energy.”

His shows are a celebration of youth, rebellion, and rhythm. He blends memory with future, proving you’re never too old to dance like you just passed your final exams.

Raised on mixtapes where side A had Tupac and side B had DJ Jean, it’s no surprise Teddy’s sound is an eclectic mix of bubbling, gabber, house, hip hop, and dancehall.

As Teddy himself puts it:
“I’m not about genres, I’m about feelings. If a gabber kick feels like a pissed-off teacher, I’ll throw in a dancehall break as comfort. It’s all about balance — like a proper school day: chaos, rules, and still sneaking in fun.”
