I think they would have stood a better chance at being more popular and successful  than they were with the proper guidance. In my own opinion I feel they had a decent sound. American "Basement Punk Rock"  Music Podcast

I dig garage rock, garage punk, psychedelic, and old school rock music. I am a music specific web designer.  I live in Austin.  Have since the late 70s except for a few years away when I lived in Anaheim  /  Los Angeles in the mid 80s.  That was coolness maximus to say the least.  Grew up on garage rock, garage punk, and hard rock.   First concert in my life was Sonny and Cher in 1973 at the age of 15. ....and yes the 70s were totally awesome, especially for a teen that liked psychedelic journeys into the unknown.
