Donev comes from a Russian city Arkhangelsk, known by the legend of Archangel Michael, who slew the devil on the brink of the White Sea. What you’ll hear in our 20th release is the sound of Donev; nature, travel and music are undoubtedly a big part of his life and with that spirit, he made Vatra Game EP. It’s full of layered ethnic sounds in a neat combination of drums, vocals and dreamy melodies. Lightweight, organic, slow are the words that first come into our minds when trying to describe it. The sound of spring. But as always with words, they only get in the way of a direct experience. And we’ll only do an injustice if we try hard to draw the picture with words. The last track pushes that idea even further and it embodies a message from the board of Voyager 2. A spaceship mission which was sent in 1977 to study our outer planets.. Now it's very far from the Earth. In between vast spaciness and firm grounds..

Donev - Vatra Game

Daniel created these songs in conversation with the Schnibbeltrillerich. We still aren't exactly sure what that is, but we gather those conversations were deep and meaningful, just like the songs found in this EP.

Due to the unfortunate circumstance of Rainbow Serpent Festival being postponed in January due to the epic fires in the area.  RVL (Rainbow Veterans League) continued the Mad Monday tradition at CERES in Melbourne.  I was truly honoured to close the awesome gathering of old and new on a picture perfect summer day in Melbourne.

On a roadtrip near Essaouera towards Sidi Kakou he found his moment of being. At the most beautiful beach of Morocco he found peace and found the music. The music deep from the tranquility of the power of the relaxation of the soul.

Udāsa - Sidi Kaouki (Original Mix)

Our current release Gara037 of Einida Eleven bears the beautiful name "gaining traction". it reminds us of the ritual fire dances of the african steppe.The Fire Dance is a Navaho ceremony that took place in winter, at a time when thunderstorms could still occur, or at a time when death from snake bites was still not completely averted. The ceremony was named after the place where the gods who were worshipped in this ritual live. The fire dance was danced on the ninth day of the ceremony. A corral was erected from evergreen branches. The shaman performed some magic tricks, then the fire dancers, painted with white clay, showed their dance. During the ritual they held torches made of cedar bark in their hands, jumped over and into the fire and touched the co-dancers with the torch. As a protective spell the spectators took charred cedar wood from the fire.

“MATADERO” es un enigmático y profundo disco que trae al presente los dolores del imaginario social vivenciado hace casi 150 años con la embestida de la peste amarilla en Argentina y que, inevitablemente, nos conecta a nivel emocional con el extraño momento de la pandemia actual.

“MATADERO” es un disco muy particular, fruto de una investigación histórica que nos traslada a 1871 cuando la fiebre amarilla terminó por matar a casi el diez por ciento de los habitantes de ciudad de Buenos Aires. Es un trabajo que rescata un complejo imaginario auditivo que aborda la instancia del carnaval - momento de mayor contagio de la peste-, integrando sonoridades asociadas a lo afro, el candombe, la murga, y una musicalidad que, a la vez, describe un estado emocional de dolor y de miedo asociado a la época.

Garasadah Records is a Nepali Label which was founded in June 2017. The founders once met there on a volunteer journey. So the decision was made to establish the label as a Nepali label as well as to support the volunteer organisation, they worked for, with every income the label will make. This music label focusses on transnational sound productions. Especially cultural diversity and the implementation of indigenious sound fragments are characteristics of its music. However the confluence of generic downbeat and house elements as well as world music is no longer contradictionary but a certain style of symbiotically revel. Garasadah persues the approach of holistic music. This approach will been seen in the art of covers, the style of texts, the handling of management and at last, of course, in the implementation of music. The sound of Garasadah is produced in 432 Hz so that the music reflects the beat of life and swing in the rhythm of our cells.
