The 190th entry to the Local Selection Mix Series welcomes Cavan native, Phacade. Now Dublin-based, the exciting DJ and music producer has marked his entry into the series by means of providing us with a solid workout that encompasses a variety of breakbeat and electro sounds throughout.

Our latest entry to the Local Selection Mix Series is Phacade. The skilled musician has supplied us with a pacey recording that features an abundance of breaks alongside some choppy, playful vocals for the duration of the mix. 

Having previously featured on Project Radio last year as well as performing at LOST and Hidden Love parties, Phacade released some impressive tracks on Filth Inc and on his own Soundcloud in the process. Notably, his musical inspirations can clearly be heard throughout his productions.

This ranges from Steel City Dance Discs mainstays Mall Grab and Skin On Skin to more sinister electro and breaky vocals that usually are associated with various grime and rap artists. Phacade's sound can be ultimately described as high-octane, energetic, and bass-heavy.

The Syndicate is back with a new release by the talented french duo ‘Hellenah Plus’. Those two guys have been making music in their bedroom for 10 years, taking the time to create their unique sound. The Stereotype EP is a melting point for all of their influences : Ghetto, Hip-Hop, G-Lead, UKG, Bass music, and Breaks.

The EP opens with ‘Darking’, a track that shows directly what you have to expect from this release: Bass, Ghetto energy and sassy drops. After it, the dancefloor killer track ‘Stereotype’ hits with a bang ! Continuing to ‘Athena’, its cheeky melody and epic choirs will keep you going all through the night. The next one is ‘Stew Pit’, the most UKG of the whole EP, Breaks and Bass is all you need. To finish, the remix of Stereotype by DJ Overclock concludes the EP on a dreamy trancy vibe, cause Ghetto and Trance are winning combo.
