At the Beginning

On august nights all of the running thoughts come back to haunt you, disturbing the tranquillity there once was.
Usually whenever I write a song I always try to express something that doesn't necessarily have to do with how I feel but more so has to do with a story or a thematic I am trying to express, and so this was one of the times where I just opened FL on an impulse and decided to just start writing something to express how I was feeling in that moment, and as you can tell I wasn't feeling so great, but I was also having something i'd consider great in all that sadness, so I tried scattering a bit of that in the writing as well, that'd symbolically represent a moment of relief. 
I was originally going to call it "August night", but then my friend suggested using plural instead, and that made a lot of sense so I decided to keep it, since this was written across multiple nights of august, but when you do download it there is an indicator as to which one was the worse.
I hope this is able to convey what I was trying to convey, and keep in mind, never listen to your brain past 10 pm, for your own sake, hope you guys enjoy, see you in the next tracks where I have a lot of awesome plans
