Derby Derby released Macadam, their second album recorded in the club Macadam, Nantes. Somewhere between rhythmic energy and the illusion of stillness that reveals itself to be the anchor point for infinitely renewable details, Derby Derby invites the listener into a deceptively simple listening experience.

In their latest work, MACADAM, Derby Derby continue the dance they began in their first album, Love Dance, immersing the listener into a continuous, kaleidoscopic soundscape. The music centres around three clearly identifiable pathways, defined by the two rhythmic patterns of Sylvain Didou’s bass and Fabrice L’Houtellier’s drums, within which the thick layering of Alan Regardin’s electric trumpet adds a constantly evolving vibration.

"Durant le set de mon ami Younger Than Me lors d'une Gloria, il a joué une track qui a rendu tout le dancefloor fou avec une sorte d'alarme en fond et bien sûr sa touche rave qu'il maitrise parfaitement. Du coup, je me suis inspiré de ce moment magique sur le dancefloor pour reproduire une track de mémoire portant sur les émotions vécues durant ce moment. Un mois après je lui envoie la track en lui expliquant l'histoire et il m'annonce qu'il a aussi déposé une track pour la compil. Androgyne resident @gtidj signs his very first EP on Garde-Robe Records, the label and phonographic counterpart of the Nantes-based club Macadam; a kind of haven where he delivered some of his most beautiful sets behind the booth.

A tireless explorer and digger, GTI inhabits the club like a lab technician whose sets are percussive precipitates with explosive nuances. Since his beginnings, the DJ has established a clear and nurtured dialogue between himself and the dancers, whose exchanges are elaborated around hand-woven selectas, riddled with galloping structured sounds.

Thus, in the span of a few years, GTI has built a very solid reputation, both locally and internationally, with a remarkable technique and a rare ability to dig both contemporary and ancient treasures.

With Garde-Robe Records, the resident DJ has come full circle, asserting and consolidating the production aspect of the overall project that is the GTI alias. The evocatively titled EP "Sources" is composed of 4 tracks that shape a perfect echo to the different sides of the music he champions.

On the remix side, @cristofeu takes "Heiko" and creates a downtempo ballad with trip-hop accents and tribal touches.

As for @aleksalaska, she gives a more goal feel to "Machine’s Taking Control", adding some almost romantic singing moments, without ever losing the speed and the salient aspect of the original version.
