Some days I find myself feeling frustrated
And usually I’m the type to bottle my feelings up but
When the sun don't shine so bright and the grass is all dead
Those days I feel inclined to recline in my bed

But then I open my eyes

Maybe the winter isn't so bad

I had had the words "Milk Teeth" as a title for a while but I didn't know what to make of it at first. During my time as a camp counselor last summer it finally clicked. There were a few unhappy campers who had to adjust to the new environment and after having a heart to heart with one kid in particular who'd throw tantrums and give up any time something went wrong for him, I knew what the song would be about.  
Of course, there's always a nugget of personal truth in a song. 2019 was a rough year for me as I was finally coming to terms with being Trans after years of repression.  The future seemed bleak and for the first time in my life I seriously thought of ending things. As much as I wrote this song thinking of all the unhappy campers, I think I wrote it for myself. There's always more life to live so keep your head up!
