Ice Plant is composed of hilltown rapper/poet Winter LeBlanc and german producer Youslaccin. Back in 2017, Youslaccin flew from Hamburg, Germany to Massachusetts to work with Winter and the rest of Wiki Good on their sophomore album Valleywood. It was during those months that Winter and Youslaccin began producing a side project that would ultimately become the first “Ice Plant” EP. When Wiki Good began to disband in 2019, Winter and Youslaccin embarked again on another side project with the intent to further investigate the lyrical content and sonic character they produced on their first EP. In May of 2020, that EP, “Ice Plant II”, was released and catalyzed the duo to unite and continue to pursue the creative force under the sole moniker “Ice Plant”.
