Das menschliche Dasein bietet eine schier unendliche Vielzahl von Angeboten zum rauschhaften Vergnügen. Die Möglichkeiten sich mit einer extra Portion Glückshormonen zu versorgen sind sehr breitgefächert und weniger individuell, als man im ersten Moment annehmen könnte. In unseren Breitengraden erfreut sich fast jeder an einem Stück Schokolade, auch Koffein in Form von Kaffee oder Tee gehört ebenfalls für viele zum Alltag. Für andere ist es das Nikotin am morgen oder das Bier nach dem Feierabend, welches die Laune anhebt und den Geist mehr oder minder stimuliert. Neben diesen eher unauffälligen Helferlein gibt es ein ganzes Sammelsurium an Substanzen, welche beim Menschen bewusstseinsverändernde Rauschzustände auslösen können. Je nach Art und Beschaffenheit wirken sich solche Mittel ganz unterschiedlich auf die Physis und Psyche aus. Resultat ist in jedem Fall ein veränderter Bewusstseinszustand. Rausch ist seit Anbeginn der dokumentierten Geschichte ein elementarer Bestandteil des Lebens. Jede Kultur hat für sich Möglichkeiten entdeckt oder kultiviert, dass Alltagsbewusstsein zu verlassen und in andere Sphären des Daseins einzutauchen. Die Akzeptanz dieser Tatsache ist ein erster und wichtiger Schritt zur Heilung und Aussöhnung mit der menschlichen Natur. 

Der Podcast von Friends of Hannes ist definitiv Festivalverdächtig. Schwoffige Vibes werden mit groovigen Rhythmen und verspielten Melodien kombiniert. Das gesamte Set klingt wie ein Guss und geht den musikalischen Gaumen herunter wie geschmolzene Butter. In episode 004 of the NEXT mix series, we feature Matija. Matija stands for ecstasy; his style is characterized by bouncing techno beats and hypnotic melodies that make the dance floor shake. As an artist of the worldwide music scene, he contributes to promoting and spreading electronic music in Switzerland. Behind the DJ desk of clubs and festivals worldwide, he refines his tunes for over 26 years and travels with you through the vastness of the universe.

Besides his career as a DJ, Matija also works as a producer and has released several tracks. His music has been featured on various labels like AkashaMX, CopyCow, and Monada. He is an integral part of Zurich's club culture and a popular DJ among many music fans in Switzerland and abroad.

Somewhere between downtempo and psytrance, slow and fast, traveling and dancing...or just dreaming....vibe is everything ! ❖

The musical journey began in 2009 with the purchase of the first Technics turntables, which quickly became much more than a passion. 
The love of creating musical landscapes, telling stories, connecting people on the dance floor or at home, creating energy, expressing feelings and letting time forget is always the focus. 
Starting with deep house, melodic and dark techno, I played all the clubs and festivals in my hometown Freiburg in the Blackforest of Germany for 10 years, as well as gigs in Switzerland, the Tresor in Berlin, the Gotec in Karlsruhe, the Rheingold in Düsseldorf and many more. When I found the love for downtempo and psychedelic music i startet a new project in 2020 and Garden of Time was born ❖

Because my heart also beats a lot for club music like house, indie dance, dark disco etc. I started a side project called "Second Vibe" in 2024. Feel free to check it out.
