Italian label @cosmic-rhythm-records made their debut last year with an EP by Michele Lamacchia under his @rhytmh-of-paradise alias, a fusion of early 90’s house, disco and 80’s electronica. Since then, their releases have gone from strength to strength and for such a new label, have made a great impact. Their sound could be described as a fond throwback to a golden age of house with an avant-garde twist.

Their latest offering is an EP by Loss Of Gravity, a collaboration between Lamacchia and Nicola Loporchio,  entitled "Sotterranea" (roughly translated as 'underground'). Today we premiere the opening track ‘Intensity’. This track has an air of familiarity to it as the opening chords melt into your subconscious. Layers of percussion and a pulsating bass line are added into the fray, along with some lush melancholic melodies and pads that the godfather Larry Heard would be proud of. Intensity would be a perfect fit for a warm-up set, a 3AM slot to break up the banger tracks, a laid back podcast or even an open top car journey along the coast.

Plenty of producers try and recreate the magic of deep house tracks in the early 90’s but this duo have done a fine job, breaking that all too familiar cliche to create a record of true class. The future continues to look bright for Cosmic Rhythm if this form continues.

EUREKA! Is proudly announcing their 2nd release by Jamie 3:26 & Masalo. Jamie 3:26 is known as one of Chicago’s true House Music soldiers, with the style very closely linked to the sound of Ron Hardy. Emerging artist Masalo has been bringing consistent heat, making this another powerful collaboration. Strong baseline that is very reminiscent of the Chicago classic, high-speed hi-hat, the vocal with a deeper message inspired by “Red District” from Masalo’s hometown, Amsterdam and with melody of organ that is gradually expanding throughout the track.

Bobby Analog has become one of the most pivotal figures in Belfast’s thriving electronic music scene in recent years. A prolific DJ, producer, promoter and Body Fusion label founder, has gone from strength to strength since relocating to the Northern Irish capital at the age of 18, becoming known for his sets of radiant, percussive house music and slick productions.

He is back today with another 4 track EP full of the kinda house music you have come to expect from him. Proto Chicago house and Italian house meets a more ambiant poly synth sound on these tracks.

https://soundcloud.com/slamcityjams is back with its sixth release and welcomes a new face to the label : the mysterious producer, Westcoast Goddess, with his "Soul Out Of Time” EP.
After releases on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs (under his Videopath moniker) and Canada based Heart To Heart Records, this guy caught our attention with his amazing analog take on house music.
Written and produced between 2002 and 2018, this record contains everything house music heads could wish for:
Sweet chords and strings, topped with heavy 909s, plus a cheeky little vocal shot on „Satisfaction & Clarity”. Title track „Soul Out Of Time” sounds like a late night drive with the top down. Meaning - shiny bells, swinging 80s drums, a funked up bass line and Balearic breaks. The B-side kicks things off with “Open Heart”. A sample-based house tune, heavy on the low end and super sweet on the tops, with Rhode pianos and catchy guitar licks. The EP comes to an end with „In Search Of Darryl P”: A perfect track for the late hours, when those trancey synths and euphoric strings go on and on... till the first rays of dawn!

PREMIERE : Westcoast Goddess - Satisfaction & Clarity

The Austrian electronic music label fortunea starts off the new decade with a bang! This time they come up with a new EP by label fellow Peletronic.

It’s called ‚Secret Escape‘ and begins with the raw and energetic title track, that is driven by MPC-style melody chops and a grooving bassline. Deﬁnitely a lot of peak time potential here. The original track is accompanied by a remix of charismatic Australian dj- and producer Jad & The, who transforms it into an euphoric deep house weapon with funky breaks and analogue infused acid sequences.

The ﬁrst track of the B-side is setting up a darker mood. It’s called „My House Is Your House“ and comes up with spaced out elements that complement each other into a late night/early morning club atmosphere. Voice- and effect artefacts sprinkle through the listeners head, while kick and bassline are holding everything together. Jon Gravy makes the remix dutys on B2 and delivers a stomping alternative to the original. A funky reverberant guitar, a staccato male vocal and high pitched piano stabs gives you back these feellings of mid 1990s chicago house memories.

All in all a must have house record for this upcoming festival season. Don’t miss out! __
