SUMMARY:
The central idea of this song about one experiencing the consequences of doing something terrible to another one.

DELIVERY: 
Other than using the lyrics to deliver this message, the melody line also played an important role. I intentionally made the verse have a downward melody to end the phrase as it signifies being in despair. And on top of which I constantly repeated two same chords to signify a sense of loop like this is going no where. As for the chorus, held the word "God", "Handcuffs" and "Seer" to signify begging. The guitar solo started out with a bend to signify struggling and the melody goes down after the first bend to signify failure from trying to amend. And there is a second bend to signify trying to amend again. After there is a down slope melody again to signify the amends are not working and in fact having a reverse effect. Then comes a upwards sweep melody to differentiate from the bend that its more effort given. I also added a rain sample in the mix to signify sadness.

Lost PROW No.1

Summary:
The central of idea for this song is to prove that traditional music can be broken up and still work.
As for my differentiation factor, I didn't use 4/4 time signature as most traditional music sticks to it often. Thus, I decided to go with 11/8 time signature as it has a odd but satisfying feel to it. I also used different instruments from different cultures for this piece. There is the harp representing the European feel, the drone and the sitar representing the Indian feel, the bass guitar representing the American feel, the pipa representing the Chinese feel, the oboe representing the french feel and the South African vocals representing the African feel. I also wanted to incorporate a Japanese feel so I decided to use the melody line to express it.

Summary:
The story of this song is about a guy who is a very lonely introvert having a very nice dream of a girl who becomes his partner. However, after waking up he realised it was all just a dream

Differentiation factor: The song form is a slightly unique one, it is ABCDBD. The purpose was to be able to link pre-chorus into chorus smoothly as well as verse into chorus smoothly for the second time. And instead of using 2/4/8 times of the chord progression for the intro i used 3 cycles. The purpose is to create a sense of lost in the start.

Daydream PROW No.4

Summary:
This is a gaming song. I wanted to try to compose a gaming song without a visual game reference to compose to. However, I did have some imaginations on what kind of game this song is for. It is a japanese sci-fi battleship being sent into war. It experiences different kinds of 'enemies' which are represented by the melody lines which are significantly different. 

Differentiation factor: 
Instead of using any 8-bit presets from Logic for some instruments example the guitar, I recorded using a real guitar and plugged in a bit-crusher and tried to emulate a 8-bit kind of sound. On top of that i added the plug-in bit-crusher on the whole mix to 'lower the quality' to emulate a 8-bit mix.

Game-bit PROW No.5

Summary:
This song is a backing track of a loading screen of a game. This game is an action-adventure kind of game. Similar to the game "ICO".

Differentiation factor:
Instead of having different groups of melody lines playing one at a time, I combined 3 different melody lines to be played at the same time and it should compliment one another. This is to illustrate like how at a point of time many things can happen at the same time and we need to learn how to manage them all at the same time. Also instead of ending the song very smoothly and predictable, I made the ending slightly more abrupt and having notes clashing just before it ends. It is to create tensions at the end as it stimulates the intense part of an action-adventure game.

Summary: 
This song is talking about a plane crash. 

Differentiation factor:
The flight is a metaphor for life. And the plane crash is a metaphor for major mistakes or accidents or happenings that could either end someone's life permanently or drastically change someone's lifestyle. The lyrics mentions "I can’t feel my legs now" represents that he is paralysed and it could just only be his lower limbs or it could also mean his whole body is paralyse, representing the limitations added to his life because of the "plane crash". 
"Unchain my seat lock" the seat lock represents "rules" that are established on us to keep us safe but at the same time it could also restrict us from being creative and finding a different way out.
"Unseal the “forbidding” words" the "forbidding" words could represent many different things. It mainly represents things that we are forced to not speak of because of society. Things such as LGBT, racism, insecurities, asking for help, depression and many more.
"Will I pull through this time?" the song ends with a rhetorical question as it represents that we are unsure of what will happen in the future.
Also by using the sound effects, I tried to created a scene of a plane crash by audio and no visuals.
