I wanted this to be the first track from Drive I shared with you all not because it's the biggest or the best, but because it's probably my personal favourite.

The album was basically inspired by a road trip I took with my wife from New York to Los Angeles last year, taking in Route 66 and numerous ghost towns, deserts, mountain passes, dirt roads etc, and I came up with the melody for this one towards the end, somewhere in the Mojave Wilderness as we finally made it into California, the setting sun of the West in the distance. A long way from home, and still fairly far from our final destination, but the end was in sight. And that's the moment the track basically came to describe. It isn't really a club banger, or a club track. It's just something I felt like writing.

Anyway - enough deep shit. Still feels slightly surreal to be sharing this body of work after waiting so long. More soon.

I worked a lot with Roxanne on this album, as well as singing on this one she also co-wrote three others (Eye Of The Storm, Beautiful Rage and Dynamite). She is also the only collaborator to feature on both 2010's Northern Lights and 2014's DRIVE (go figure, haha).

Anyway I really love this track, especially the lyrical message, and can't wait to start playing it out once I've got a club mix down. Enjoy!

With my new album '100 Reasons To Live' about to land, I wanted to upload my favorite / most personal track on the record. Named after my daughter, it's the album's closing track, and track #13 (as she was born on March 13th!).

Big love to everyone who's already bought the record - orders are already higher than my last two albums, which feels amazing and vindicating, given every time I embark on the long road of doing an artist album I get the same feedback "Artist album are dead, make banger singles and focus on social media instead".
