This piece is a little cinematic and moody, I wrote it in the aftermath of the bushfires and the suffering that it caused to so many people and billions of animals. I took the picture while travelling through Yerrinbool and Hilltop in NSW, some towns near where I grew up that were absolutely decimated by the fires.
