In early 2017, a decision was made. East Coast noise artist Abu Ghraib would record a split with Midwest power electronics artist, Garmr. The result is 31 minutes of punishing drones and harsh noise, made the way only Massachusetts and Illinois can.

This record was the first collaboration between Garmr and Abu Ghraib. It was a fantastic experience, and we hope you all check out the rest of Abu Ghraib's material!

At its core, this album is first and foremost an expression of anger and disgust at the turn that history is taking. It is both an experiment in non-traditional sonic aggression, and a political statement; this album was in part written to express a certain ideological frustration.
Unfortunately, it seems that the adage that those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it is true. We are teetering on the edge of the abyss, over an anti-intellectual, anti-human rights movement bent on dismantling this world as we know it.
