Nacido en Hannover en 1991, la temprana exposición de Joy a la música estuvo marcada por su padre, un músico de jazz experto en percusión y bajo. Los ritmos, los sonidos percusivos y las frecuencias medias y bajas se grabaron en el alma de Joy, sentando las bases de su trayectoria musical. Sin embargo, no fue hasta que descubrió el techno a los 18 años que su vida dio un giro radical.
Cautivado por los ritmos pulsantes del techno, Joy se adentró de lleno en el mundo de los equipos de DJ, perfeccionando rápidamente sus habilidades y encendiendo una pasión por crear experiencias sonoras inolvidables. Con un don natural para el ritmo y una comprensión innata de los grooves, pronto se encontró organizando fiestas vibrantes en su ciudad natal, Málaga.
Impulsado por un amor inquebrantable por la música, tomó la valiente decisión de concentrar todos sus esfuerzos en perseguir sus aspiraciones musicales en Madrid. Allí, se sumergió en el cautivador mundo del vinilo, amasando una colección y pinchando discos en diversos clubes de la ciudad. A medida que su trayectoria se desarrollaba en Madrid, profundizó en la producción musical, lo que lo llevó por un camino iluminado por el sonido y el hardware analógicos.
El vinilo se convirtió en su lienzo, y los instrumentos analógicos —cajas de ritmos, sintetizadores, secuenciadores, sistemas modulares— en sus herramientas para forjar una nueva realidad, un reino único donde podía volcar su alma en cada nota y ritmo. De manera fascinante, su amor por la música se entrelazó con su pasión por la ciencia ficción, impregnando sus creaciones con una firma distintiva que fusionaba elegancia, ritmo y una sensación de libertad sin límites.
Al darse cuenta de que el techno era su verdadera vocación, Joy tomó la trascendental decisión de mudarse a la vibrante ciudad de Berlín en 2015. Allí, su arte floreció, atrayendo la atención de prestigiosos locales como About Blank, Salon zur Wilde Renate y Suicide Club o recientemente en el mítico Tresor.
