Good intentions, bad decisions, low on gas and a high walking out of work on Friday. We’ve all ran our gears a little too fast in our 20s; wild & young with rubber bones, chasing things that seem to run a little faster than ourselves. Hill Country crooner, Garrett Ford, describes just that in his single, “Woke up in Waco”. Its the ballad of an alright guy, trying to do right and figure out his life, but just can't quite let go of his beloved wild Saturday nights. Based on a true story, Ford wrote the song the day Ford loves using names of the various Texas landscapes & towns to connect as a true narrative to audiences. 
After years of playing on barstools in Central Texas and the Brazos Valley, fronting his own band, honing in on a sound, and saving up his money, upcoming Texas singer/songwriter, Garrett Ford, is ready to make his first impression within the Texas Red Dirt scene on Friday, September 14th. The last two years in a row, Ford has been a finalist at Larry Joe Taylor’s Songwriting Showcase in Stephenville, Texas, competed in the Texas Music Pickers Songwriting Contest in College Station, and has been recognized from other organizations for his songwriting as well. With Ford’s lyrics met with the haunting sound of a “closing-time” steel guitar to the hot summer cries of Cody Braun’s fiddle, Adam Odor has once again, produced a record that can stand on its own two feet.
