Il Tessuto Storico della Musica Gospel
Nel XVII secolo, gli africani furono forzati ad arrivare in America, affrontando sofferenze immense. Nei campi di tabacco e cotone, furono sottoposti a lavori estenuanti e crudeltà. Da questo dolore emersero gli Spirituals afro-americani — canzoni piene di desiderio di libertà e conforto. Questi spirituals hanno gettato le basi per il Gospel, un genere musicale che continua a risuonare profondamente nella musica moderna.

Il termine "gospel" deriva dall'antico inglese "godspel", che significa "buona notizia". Esso rappresenta la diffusione della parola di Dio attraverso testi sacri e melodie vibranti. Mentre gli spirituals sono folklorici, creati organicamente dalle comunità, i gospel spesso emergono da elementi composti, fondendo tradizione e innovazione.

L'Evoluzione della Speranza e dell’Espressione
Con l'incontro degli schiavi con il cristianesimo, le loro canzoni cominciarono a intrecciare la speranza di una vita migliore e il ritorno alla loro terra natale, tutte sostenute da una profonda fede in Gesù Cristo. Nelle piantagioni, questi primi cristiani trovarono forza e conforto nell'espressione musicale condivisa, diventata parte fondamentale della loro identità.

Il movimento gospel fiorì, unendo insegnamenti cristiani con radici culturali africane. Caratteristiche distintive come la tecnica Call-and-Response — dove il predicatore guida e la congregazione risponde — aggiungono una dinamica ricca alla performance. Legendary Swedish artist and producer Axwell has teamed up with his protégé Shapov for brand new track, ‘Belong’. The soaring, anthemic vocal will sound familiar to anyone who has seen either artist playing live over the last few months, as it has rapidly become a fan favourite. The record will be released via Axwell’s own Axtone Records label, and includes a ‘Remode’ version from Axwell & Years. Axwell said: "Working with Shapov has been a real pleasure. He is one of the most talented artists around right now, and I’m pleased to be a part of his musical journey and to have him representing Axtone at shows all around the world." Shapov said: “We're very excited to be unleashing ‘Belong’ to the world! It’s been amazing to hear crowds singing it back to us already when we've play it out!”

Axwell is currently in the midst of a packed summer schedule of Axwell /\ Ingrosso shows, and is also taking time out for his solo performances as well as some special Axtone dates which will include appearances from Shapov. He recently hosted an Axtone stage at Tomorrowland, and last week’s Ushuaia Ibiza Axwell /\ Ingrosso show was a special Axtone party. Forthcoming dates include Axtone Mondays at Aquarius, Croatia on August 8 (Shapov) and August 15 (Axwell).

HARDWELL RELEASES REMIX OF KREWELLA'S #1 DANCE HIT "ALIVE"

Dutch dancefloor destroyer Hardwell has been on a tour de force of late. In a week that saw Hardwell reach 500,000 followers on Twitter. After breaking viewer figures for the most watched liveset at Ultra Music Festival Miami and trending around the world on Twitter, the Breda born superstar then went and took Coachella by storm with another highest ranked liveset of weekend #1 of the iconic California based festival. During his explosive Coachella performance Hardwell debuted his infectious remix of Krewella's breakout single, 'Alive'.

"I love to do remixes of original tracks I really love. And I was already playing Alive." said Hardwell in an interview with Krewella, which debuts on vevo today. "I love the vocals. I love the chords. I think the song is perfect. I fell in love with the song when I heard it for the first time." 

Back in March, Hardwell passed the torch for Best Breakthrough Artist at the International Dance Awards to electropunk trio, Krewella. This year, he takes the IDMA for Best Remixer (and Best European DJ) and affirms his title with this booming, big-room house remix of 'Alive', which debuted this past Friday on Pete Tong's infamous BBC1 Radio Show and was released for sale exclusively on Beatport today.

The stage is now most definitely set for what will be the biggest Hardwell summer ever!
