A blast from the past, an almost forgotten era, has resurrected from the vaults of old damaged hard disks and obliterated cloud storage. These digital artifacts have been dusted off and some have even gotten renovated or shined up a bit, to be resembled and released on katharsis. The duo J Sliwa brings us everything from classic euro-dance melodies on "Closer" to the hardcore psytrance vibes on "Dragonslayer" or highly energetic hyperpop sounds on "Higher". One thing is sure though - the whole thing goes harder than ever.

Sanjonas, aka Yonaz Kristy, is a Yogyakarta-based artist, graphic designer, electronic music producer, and DJ. He is the co-founder of the Bast Cultura music collective; founder of RAR Editions (2012), an interdisciplinary collective focusing on research and archive-based projects; part of the SOFT/BRUTE Records label; and has recently started the label Ear Flux with Brrrz Studio.

Incunabula Heroes, the first solo album on POSTWORLD, is a speculative fiction-based album that envisions the recurring formation of new worlds in the aftermath of a revelatory apocalypse. Over 8 tracks, Sanjonas plays with the idea of how cultures and civilizations would be mixed and merged in such scenarios, with sensemaking thrown aside in favour of something visceral and universal.

Within the span of a year, Tallinn-based club night series and creative collective Shelter has managed to rally dozens of electronic musicians from all corners of the world to an unexpected meeting point by the Baltic Sea. By curating club nights that showcase local talents aside some of the brightest minds in electronic music today, Shelter has undeniably played a significant role in revitalizing Tallinn’s club scene.

More importantly, Shelter uses its platform to shed light on some of the worst humanitarian crises currently plaguing our planet. Beyond covering event costs, ticket sales proceeds from Shelter Showcase events have been directed to organizations who provide resources to those in need, including the Ottawa Black Diaspora Coalition in Ukraine and the Rebuilding Alliance in Palestine.

To celebrate 1 year of building bridges between communities and incubating forward-thinking electronic music, Shelter presents Feyrûse: a compilation album featuring 17 tracks by an intercontinental melting pot of musicians, majority of whom have graced the dancefloors of Shelter.

Feyrûse aims to capture increasing unity within the global electronic music community. The musical styles represented on the album are as varied as its diverse cast of artists, ranging from purpose-built hybrid club to serene and blissful melodic rituals.

On EP opener “Frantic Solar”, a corrosive melodic motif swirls around kicks precision-engineered to shake the very core of the earth. Ashen voices and screeching machine wails round out the scene. Driving and cavernous, “Dozhdot” bursts through the speakers with bags of lawless energy. With explosive buzzes, unrelenting kicks, and barely a second to breathe, both producers drive their rhythmic framework into despotic territory. The two faster numbers of the foursome, “Tendrils” and “Losing Grip”, ramp up the drama and the sense of cinematic anticipation. Something’s around the corner but you don’t want to know what because it might be the last thing you ever see.

Domizako and Ice_Eyes both take on “Losing Grip”. Prague producer Domizako leans into the track’s tense atmosphere with a remix that is the sonic equivalent of a rolling boil. It’s understated and it’s deadly. Greek experimentalist Ice_Eyes turns the party dial up with a remix primed for the club. Prepare for big stabs and big polyrhythmic energy.

In "ok im real i think" (GEN041), adammmmmmmmmm plays a high-stakes game of far-reaching density, acceleration and saturation. Instantly blasting off, this album is a showcase in extreme kick drum technology, a detuned synth stab pandaemonium, a granular fission chamber full of dense clicking sounds, seemingly originating from some digital slime dimension. This notion of saturation is not just in reference to the in-your-face full spectrum sound approach, a conceptual saturation procedure is notably at play too, via euphoric dance music arpeggios and vocal snippets snatched somewhere on an advanced synthesis point of the pop punk-autotune emo-sad boy continuum. This way, a high velocity sense of conceptual concentration is obtained, with extreme stretching modes resulting in chipmunk chatterings and source material skrewed beyond all decent reason. But don't let these suggestions of multiplicity and apparent incongruence create the illusion this is just a particularly goofy and extreme collage exercise: relentless energy and coherent construction lift this up to the level of an alluring complete entity.

As one of the spearheads of the new wave of dance music in the Yugosphere, Warrego Valles have been an intense and consistent, albeit underrated presence on the global postclub waterfront throughout the last couple of years. Employing their trademark hi-def drum ballistics and digital trance stabs, their newest piece is a restless rework of the original: ravenous beats and quirky melodic motifs colliding into each other within a glued framework of jerky dynamics, with a cranked-up treatment of the vocal sample and an added hint of emotion lacking from Cuban’s original to underscore their idiosyncratic hardcore sentiments.

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ ANGER MANAGEMENT ♥ (⩺︷⩹) is "name your price"* compilation (the second to this date) full of brutal and dark bangers from producers and friends affiliated with Unizone. Once again, the label gathered the dark souls of hybridized club sounds, and asked them to contribute with tracks inspired by the main theme of a record: facing their own anger and fears.

*Raised funds will be send to support Ciocia Czesia, an informal collective based in Czechia which helps obtaining legal and safe abortions to people with uteruses from Poland. The initiative was born after Poland’s controversial, politically driven Constitutional Tribunal ruled that abortions for “fetal abnormality” (the reason for 90 percent cases currently performed in the country) were illegal, thereby making it almost impossible to undergo. Ciocia Czesia supports mentally, logistically, and financially.
