After an excellent year in 2013 we start the new year with an outstanding release GARTEN0020 – Holtoug - Words Of Charlie incl remixes by Jose M & TacoMan and Leman & Dieckmann. 

We are proud to finally present the local producer and DJ, Holtoug, on Gartenhaus. 
The somewhat underrated Holtoug who has previously released at the German label Connaisseu, now delivers two deep house tracks of very high quality. With his attention to detail and melody, and with the help of the notorious serial killer Charles Manson, Holtoug has managed to create two original tracks, in a deep and gloomy sound universe, which we in Gartenhaus quickly fell in love in.

The two originals, "I live on the Ground "and "All around you" is accompanied by two remixes from respectively Gartenhaus’ own Leman & Dieckmann, who has remixed the track "All around you". We are also very pleased to present two new faces to our catalog artist, Jose M & Tacoman.

The Colombian duo Jose M & Tacoman who are known for their details and extremely well-produced Tech House, do not disappoint. With their sharp lines, they have gracefully taken partial elements from the original "I live on the Ground" and fused them with their familiar moods. The result has been an outstanding track, which can be used both in main time, and for late hours.

In their remix of "All around you" Leman & Dieckmann elegantly managed to transform Manson's gloomy vocals and Holtougs delicious synthesizers in the deep original track, into a rapid percussion-based track, with references to Cuban samba and African tribal dances.

With releases on major labels as Stil Vor Talent, WellDone Music and Noir Music, the German act HRRSN is a strong addition to the already diverse Gartenhaus catalogue.
The 4 track EP" Wrong Floor" is the Berlin-based producers first release on the danish label and it contains the two groovy tracks Almos and Bright Side. The melancholic vibe haunts the EP created by bubbling synths and lazy beats. The 2 remixes from Talul & Tony Casanova and of course Meggy, only emphasize the classic and pure German house sound.
Meggy contributes with a catchy remix of Bright Side, where the focus is directed at the vocal chops and the steady pace of the techno-beats, while the guys Talul & Tony Casanova interpret the original sound from HRRSN into a much more atmospheric and dreamy remix. We welcome the charismatic producer HRRSN with all of his originality and dedication to what we all love house-music.

With genres that ranges from very deep to the funkier house, there’s definitely a track for everybody. There’s no doubt that this release could be the soundtrack of the spring 2012.

The Gartenhaus family is proud to present a new take on artist collaboration. Bringing together two artists from two different countries and musical backgrounds and letting them fuse their respective creativity in to a highly original track; called Parallel Universe. Jutland based Rasmus Vels and Hungarian producer Yöurr have come together to release one track each as well as a collab track.
Each track delivers its own unique sound and feel, however there is a distinct coherence between the tracks.

Anastasia had her passion for music ever since she was a kid. It started out slowly, but grew into something she knew would be her life eventually. She was born in Russia, moved to Latvia, then spent 7 years in Denmark and is now on her way to move to Spain. While living in Denmark, she realized that she wants to produce and play music, after trying other things it was clear that music was the answer. Quickly enough, her name was seen in all major cities of Denmark, including Aalborg, Aarhus and Copenhagen. Anastasia likes to take her sets in all possible directions, playing all the different music she enjoys herself. She felt a never ending drive and passion for producing too, so her releases did not wait to be shown to the world. Still experimenting, she believes in not labeling herself with a genre, but rather keep exploring and focusing on what is it that gives the music its special feeling, the one that makes you want to close your eyes and enjoy. Whether at a party or alone at home, she always looks for inspiration. When it comes to her own music, it’s a must for her that it inspires herself! That’s what happened with “When You Dance”. The deep melodies that soothe her soul and groovy beats that make her want to dance is what she wanted to share with you with this release.

Gartenhaus is back with more fresh talent from the bubbling Copenhagen scene - This time the order of the day goes by the name of Kant. Kant, meaning edge in danish is a new project by Danish artist Joachim Schaarup-Jensen. Born in Copenhagen with 11 years under his belt abroad in Berlin and London, Joachim's roots are in hiphop as a songwriter and performing artist. Introduced to deephouse a few years back he fell in love with the sound from the get, and has since been refining his knowledge and skills in the studio alongside production partner Klaus Christensen. Kant's debut EP : Burn, Hurt, Touch is now ready and what a debut it is! You would not know these cat's have only been playing with deep house for a few years. Burn kicks off the EP with tight drums, soulful vocal snips and a funky baseline - a wonderful sun-drenched set opener. Hurt takes over and brings the proceedings to moody territory, deep hovering bass, dubby chords and a haunting vocal asking that so familiar question.. Why Does your love Hurt so much? Rounding the EP off beautifully is Touch with its uplifting vocals and arpeggiated synths, headnodding beats all tied together by that baseline, that baseline!!! Kant is currently working on new material with vocalists from the Copenhagen underground, and is playing in Berlin on December 28th alongside Chris Urban (Exploited Rec).

Next up on Gartenhaus, we got a three track EP from the very talented Italian guys, Danilo Cardace & Elia Perazzini. With releases on labels like, Bla Bla and Woz, these two guys are really going for something big. This release is called Vibes Me, and it comes with two original tracks, and a huge remix from our friend Paul Mad. We welcome these guys into the Gartenhaus Family, and we are grateful for their fine work on this release.
