This Fathers Day has been a first for me.  Its the first since my father passed into the presence of Jesus on February 18th.    While I had a great day as my wife and sons honored me in such kind ways, there was a real sadness in my heart because I couldn’t pick up the phone and call my father.   In light of that, I really wanted to honor him in a special way today.    So after all of “my Fathers Day events”, I spent about four hours in the studio working on getting a decent  rough mix on this song.  This is the only song I ever wrote for him and he really loved it.  The lyrics are absolutely true to a real life story and I can’t tell you how many times he said this phrase to me throughout the years..  In my younger days, I used to shrug it off as sentimental and roll my eyes (when he wasn’t looking of course).  But today, as I realized I couldn’t pick up the phone and call him, and as I sat across from my adult sons at dinner, I was reminded again just how quickly life rushes by and how wise his words were, and still are.  So while this is not the finished production (it’s about 90% complete), I can think of no better way the say happy Fathers Day to him from earth to heaven than by simply posting this song in his honor.   Happy Fathers Day dad!  See you on the other side.

I wrote this song after receiving an email from Adrienne about a conversation she had with a co-worker. I love the song and the raw honesty it contains about relationship heartbreak and loss.  Even more-so, I love Adrienne's voice.  I think she has one of the most naturally powerful and emotive voices I've ever heard and recorded.  Her kind of talent isn't earned and contrived.  It is a gift from God.  The girl can sing.  And I really love how her voice brings this one to life.   This is the simple piano/vocal mix.  I have a fully produced version that will release in a few days.  Jury is out on which I like best.

Mike lost his wife of 40 years last year to ovarian cancer.  He wrote this song for her before she passed away and sang it to her at an ovarian cancer support event not long before she died.  Not being a person who plays any musical instruments, he sent me a simple recording of his singing this in his own voice.  I took it from there.  What a beautiful thing it must have been to hear him sing this to her last year.  I"m delighted to have had the privilege of producing it and orchestrating it for him.  The wonderful voice of David Ask made it truly come to life.

This is a simple and fun song about Thanksgiving day, Forrest Gump style.  It's about the traditions, the food, and (most of all) family and love. Every day should be a day of giving thanks.  Paul Dengler is a Forrest Gump impersonator who travels all over the U.S putting smiles on people's faces.  Next time you are at a festival, special gathering or eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp, look around.  You just might see him in the crowd.

This is a song about the true definition of home.  A house is not necessarily a home.  And a home is not about things, position or a legal relationship.  The home that every human heart longs for is that place where we are unconditionally loved, cared for, allowed to be our true selves and always welcomed.  Most importantly, home is about mattering and belonging to someone else "today and forever".  
The world is a hard place, but having a home makes if bearable and meaningful.  Home is a beautiful thing.

Originally recored by Bobby Boudreaux and the Thibodeauxs, this song is a fun Zydeco dance tune written by Gary Forsythe and Pete Warren (two of the four Thibodeauxs).  It was also recorded by Louisiana artist Gregg Martinez.  This version was recently performed, produced and mixed by Gary Forsythe at CollisoinPoint Studios for the upcoming Paul Dengler CD "Going There With You".  Paul's voice makes it really come alive.  And just FYI:  A Fais Do Do is a neighborhood cajun dance party that happens after the kids are in bed.  Lots of music, food and celebration.  With that in mind, this song should make perfect sense and also you smile.

This is an original Christmas song about an elderly woman named Eve.  More importantly, it's a song about Christmas and hope in darker places.

This is the presentation demo I recorded to send to Brentwood Music in 2009.  The song was published and produced for a Thanksgiving project and has been sung all over the U.S., all the while I remained oblivious to it.  But just recently caught videos of it on youtube.  Current copyright is with Brentwood Music, so this is not downloadable.
