After announcing the exclusive signing of London Drum & Bass producer Cyantific last year, Viper waste no time is getting him in the rotation.

High Water Mark is the first solo release from Cyantific after he initially featured on the 10 Years Of Viper compilation and sets the standard as a teaser for the first big single due later this year.

Premiered on Frictions BBC Radio 1 show as his ‘Friction Fire” and then by MistaJam the next day, you know big things are coming.

High Water Mark is a classic set starter kicking off with a delicate guitar riff that swiftly switched to a grinding bassline. Then, before you get to comfortable, it’s all gun blazing and the fire’s unleashed into an epic stadium size Drum & Bass monster. Trademark thunderous beats and dial busting energy, this ones not for the faint of heart.

Released in April of 2006, the HUMAN RESOURCE was a compilation of musical highlights from my drum and bass label HUMAN IMPRINT. The double vinyl release had brand new exclusive remixes and original music. The double CD release consisted of 12 tracks on CD1 and a great mix of 22 label jams on CD2 by my boys @evolintent entitled “Evol Intent Assemble The Monster”. The entire visual and audio “concept” for the album was based on the story of Frankenstein (hence the mix name). I collaborated on the mix intro with @evolintent and we called it VIVIFY (to animate / enliven). The packaging design was an idea that i worked out with my friend @joelsavitzky. He crushed it. I designed the HUMAN RESOURCE lettering for the front of the release. The inside of the booklet was bright red with an overlay of clear ink that looked like muscle tissue and a quote from the vocal we had made for the intro track - “the switch thrown as raw lightning arcs down the line / violent / consuming the cold form upon the table / within moments the power is diminished / by the glimmer of the half extinguished light / i saw the dull yellow eye of the creature open / it breathed hard and a convulsive motion agitated its limbs”. Lots and lots of thought went into what should have been a simple "Best Of” release. Extremely proud of this one.
