During my time living in New Zealand, I was fortunate to begin learning te reo Māori and to hear the ancient legends that carry the mana of Aotearoa. One story that stayed with me was the voyage of Nukutawhiti, Kupe’s descendant, who brought the great waka Ngātokimatawhaorua into the Hokianga Harbour, guided by the guardian rocks known as Ngā Kurī a Kupe. This song is my tribute to that journey, to the strength of the ancestors, and to the enduring spirit of the Māori people.

I’ve always loved music and had a desire to write songs but couldn’t piece it all together or had anyone to collaborate with. 
Agree or disagree technology has now given me the tools to express my self and my ideas through music. 
I’d love one day for someone to actually record one of my songs. 
But for now I’m enjoying sharing my ideas through music through this medium.
