Dutch producers Koen and Gijs, aka Callecat, present the hotly anticipated Symbiosis album, released 12th April on Manual Music. Every collaboration is equally as brilliant as the previous, taking you on a blissed-out journey with some of the best producers in electronic music.

Callecat themselves are very much a symbiotic relationship. Koen is more the DJ and Gijs the producer in this union, though both very capable in each field. Their shared sense of humor adds a playful twist to their productions. Their fun loving and light-hearted approach in their Utrecht studio helps bring you some of the best progressive electronic music around.

Callecat feel that making and experiencing music is even more special when you attract other people in it. This inspired them to make this album the way it was made together… In symbiosis: “the interaction between two or more different organisms, to the advantage of both”.

The first track, The Intro sets the scene perfectly for the album and for the dreamy Embracing Nature with Gustin, who brought a beautiful Balearic feel with him from Ibiza. This leads you into The Balance of Being with Bodai, whose organic production style warm vocal tones send you into serenity. Juliane Wolf’s beautiful melodies on Journey of Species seamlessly combine with a compelling danceability and Nick Varon adds deep and groovy melodic twist to Beyond Perceptions.

Hobin Rude’s deep, dark driving vibe resonates from the depths on Infinite Enclosure and Meeting Molly brings the groove and atmosphere on Unified Formulas. Not Demure’s fantastic lead sound shines on Recurring Phases and Paul Hazendonk (head honcho of Manual Music) has an incredible instinct for what makes a dancefloor groove, on State of Mind.

The Wash incorporates the mesmerizing arpeggio to Symbiotic Symphony. Fabri Lopez enriches Mutual Horizons with cool quirky sounds and a beautiful arrangement. Forty Cats’ beautiful melodic moments bring subtle atmospheres to Interconnecting Echoes without it losing Callecat’s edginess.

Around Us are good friends and repeat collaborators with Callecat, their infinite creativity shining through on In Unity We Thrive. By the time The Outro has finished, you will want to put the album back to the start and hear the whole brilliant release again. In fact, the first notes on The Intro match perfectly with the last notes from The Outro, enabling you to loop the album seamlessly. With Symbiosis, Callecat bring you music for the soul that will guide you through 2024. In a time where the world is divided, Koen and Gijs bring you a slice of joy to show what can be achieved when we work together in harmony, with a smile on our faces.

Roy Rosenfeld is a producer who prioritizes independence, freedom of expression, and spiritual depth over passing trends. His new label, "No Drama," embodies his musical and lifestyle aesthetics. Despite his advanced studio skills, Rosenfeld remains modest and collaborative. The label's inaugural release features his work alongside Sébastien Léger and Guy J.
The A-side opens with Sébastien Léger's "Omira," a track that guarantees a lively atmosphere on any dance floor. Its eclectic spirit combines world music elements with hypnotic house beats, building up to a powerful crescendo.
Next, Rosenfeld's "Nana" merges the organic house with a carnival vibe and cinematic melodies, all enhanced by tribal percussion.
The B-side starts with Guy J's "Karma," a dark, seductive, and cerebral piece for discerning listeners. This trance-inducing track employs subtle variations of repetitive sequences, creating a minimalist yet captivating soundscape.
The final track on the B-side, "Saga Dawa," available only on vinyl, showcases Rosenfeld's genre-defying talent. He combines Middle Eastern melodies with psychedelic sounds, unpredictable vocal samples, exceptional dance rhythms, and even piano chords, resulting in an inspiring track.
This release marks the launch of "No Drama" and the start of Rosenfeld's new journey.

Clubsonica Records continues its 2018 journey by welcoming Aeikus to the label for his debut appearance. Hailing from Brazil, Athos Araujo aka Aeikus has enjoyed much success in the tech house arena with releases on Dear Deer and 5uinto Records. Now starting a new chapter in his production journey, Athos unveils his new alias 'Aeikus' with a his 'Talk About Stars' EP alongside a remix from Ethereal Mist.

Spread across four tracks the EP begins with its title and showcase piece 'Talk About Stars'. On a backbone of tough beats and romping bass tones comes indie-like vocals and melancholic atmospheres. Charming and esoteric in equal measure the piece transfers energy into an airy break, allowing the vocal narrative to evolve before melting down for a powerful drop and third act of siren-esque motifs. Diverse and deadly, this is a great start for Aeikus.

The second selection 'Ecoar' shows a darker, grittier side of the Aeikus studio repertoire. Rugged beats set the piece in motion as a subterranean groove and tight percussion encase the framework. Ominous synths and devilish sweeps advance the narrative, eventually stripping down into an expansive break. Clocking in at nearly two minutes the centrepiece takes you on an emotive journey, culminating with trailing effects and percussive spirals giving way to the mammoth groove for a strong finish.

The lone interpretation of 'Ecoar' is provided by Ethereal Mist who returns to Clubsonica for his fourth appearance. His contribution to the label's MMW Sampler from March proved to be his most critically acclaimed production to date and he continues to be one of Colombia's top electronic music talents. Here he takes ' Ecoar' into deeper, progressive territory complementing the original wonderfully. It's undulating groove and dark stabs set a brooding foundation before tantalizing arps add a lovely hypnotic quality. Drawing on the emotion from the original, smooth chord changes highlight the main break before an exhilarating energy bridge leads to a purring finale.

The release concludes with 'Espetacular' which finds Aeikus upping the tempo for a vivid eight minute affair. Dark and dramatic from the outset, a cross cultural motif rises, complemented perfectly by ghostly vocals and airy atmospherics. Grating synths make for a tension filled break as a wave of sonic decay reignites the groove for a storming finish. Something devilishly dark to round out what is a stunning debut EP from Aeikus, definitely an artist you're going to be hearing a lot about in the near future.

Italy’s AGENTS OF TIME have long been on the KOMPAKT radar. It started thanks to their exemplary releases on Correspondant and other labels such as Stem, Ellum and their own imprint Obscura which includes last year’s collaboration with Mathew Jonson (from whom their name is inspired by). Michael Mayer had chance to play with them last summer at one of their Obscura parties and their friendship was cemented. Which leads us now to their five track KOMPAKT debut, entitled MUSIC MADE PARADISE.

From our early days of releasing landmark tracks from JUSTUS KÖHNCKE, the label has never been shy of exploring the enigmatic fringes of disco in our own way. AGENTS OF TIME follow these footsteps but head into galactic territory with MUSIC MADE PARADISE. They continue their knack for bridging synth-wave with modern bass rhythms in a means which are purely designed for today’s dance floors. We’re proud to make their label debut with an

French touch meets Italo chic on Drive Me Crazy. At first, My Heart is A Microchip comes across as a segue track, but opens into cascading synths and a predatory breakbeat to lead its own charge. Under Control is classy Moroder disco brought to the modern age. Aptly titled Interstate 10 is an EP highlight – the percussion lead is infectious and ready for prime time exploration.
