I'm frustated to not understand the lyrics !

I love the Harry Nilsson version, gives me a kind of nostalgia that few songs do. Such a beautiful song, and you instantly capture some of the magic here. Not an easy thing to do.

I've got to live with this version, lost the tracks. I wanted to try another take or at least fix a part or 2. Disclaimer:I reversed the ends of the verses melodically somehow. Sang this from memory so I suppose it is my take on it so who's to say the verse melodies are reversed? Only my neurotic self? Never mind but thanks to all for the kind comments on this song. 

Less is more, you prove it. Beautiful version of a beautiful song.

Harry Nilsson recorded the definitive version of one of the greatest songs written but Fred Neil wrote this one. Featured in the heartbreaking and brilliant film "Midnight Cowboy".

Spurred on by the frustration of being told my Macbook Pro is not able to be fixed for under $2300, and not covered by the insurance I bought for it last year, I quickly wrote an angry song on my old recorder, got cold feet and scrapped it only to do a very quick take of this, one of my favorite songs of all time. I did what I could for the hell of it & because I love the song. No fine touches, a stiff drum underneath, a possible wrong chord in the sequence & not the arrangement I had in mind originally (when I listened back, too late, I realized I flubbed the intended arrangement).

Either way I really love this song and enjoyed singing it tonight. Thanks for listening.

"Stairway to Heaven" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in late 1971. It was composed by guitarist Jimmy Page and vocalist Robert Plant for the band's untitled fourth studio album (often referred to as Led Zeppelin IV). It is often referred to as one of the greatest rock songs of all time.

The song, running eight minutes and two seconds, is composed of several sections which increase in tempo and volume as the song progresses. The song begins as a slow acoustic-based folk song accompanied by recorders before electric instrumentation is introduced. The final section is a high-tempo hard rock section highlighted by an intricate guitar solo by Page and Plant's wailing vocals, ending with Plant's unaccompanied delivery of final line: "And she's buying a Stairway to Heaven".

Gritty sounds & colorful stories of America, equal parts Country, Punk, Blues & Pop.  13 tunes about losers, lovers, thrill seekers & troublemakers. Working on a new record for 2021; many of those songs are included here with new ones added weekly.

Along with my years with Circus of Power I was with NY Loose , The Silos and the punk/pop band Screaming Sneakers. Having  worked with such diverse artists as Guns N’ Roses, Gravity Kills and New Zealand’s Steph Casey, you might say dues have been paid and then some.
