I have performed and recorded my version of "Woodstock" In honor of Joni Mitchell's 70th Birthday year.   Joni was an inspirational influence to me before I ever wrote a song. Ever since I was a kid singing along to my Dad playing Joni's "Circle Game" on guitar.  

"Woodstock" tells a spiritual story of expression and possibility.  Ideals that are reflected in the powerful Burning Man Project, which for me is an annual Woodstock-type festival in spirit.

"We are stardust,  We are golden, And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden"

Truly words of inspiration and possibility...Thank You Joni!

Happy Canada Day 2013!  I am a proud Canadian also living in Los Angeles (like Joni) and  I hope you are able to get up and dance wherever you are to my electronic/tribal take on Woodstock.

"Woodstock" is a musical tribute to the Woodstock Music and Art Festival held in Woodstock New York in 1969. The song, written by Joni Mitchell and released on her landmark album "Ladies of The Canyon" (1970).  Although Joni never attended Woodstock, she wrote the song based on descriptions of the festival by her then boyfriend Graham Nash.  The cover version of "Woodstock" on Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's 1970 album "Deja Vu" reached number 11 on the Billboard Charts. (Info. from Wikipedia)
