I build businesses – but I’m creating a legacy. I’m not in business to make a quick buck. I’m not in business to be famous. I’m in business so that I can impact every single person that I interact with. I’m in business so that people remember me in 200 years. Our social equity is far, far more important than our financial equity. It’s not even close! 


“Legacy, my friends, is greater than currency.”

Be patient. “When I was 25-years-old, I thought a 40-year-old was finished.” I was wrong. I’ve barely started. I want to show you that achieving a long-term legacy is a long process – and I’ve had my eyes on the prize since the moment I started hustling.

Be focused. “Every business decision that I ever made – EVERY ONE OF THEM – was always based on my long-term legacy … That was the key.”

“I’m really not happy with short-term successes. I’m really not happy that people now know who I am.” I’ll be happy when I’m dead and my legend is still growing.

“I live my life, on a daily basis, with the complete intent to have everybody that I interact with show up to my funeral.” I want to be remembered as such a good person that people feel compelled to show up.

Do you know what’s most important to me? It’s not just buying the New York Jets. It’s not money. “It’s a distant second to knowing I was gifted with a communication style that touches people … I’m just so goddamn thankful.”

You can’t create your legacy tomorrow. You can’t do it when you’re 90-years-old. You have time now. “It’s a balance of regret and patience.”

It is INCREDIBLY difficult to build&nbsp;a successful consumer-facing app but we still live in a world where everyone thinks they can just start&nbsp;one. No matter what you're into in life, if you’re chasing the wrong things you’re going to lose. Period. You need to put your energy against the things that move you forward, not the things that are shiny in the moment. When I was starting my career, being an entrepreneur wasn’t cool. And sure it's cool now and I’m reaping the benefits but that doesn’t mean you can or should try and become an entrepreneur for those reasons.&nbsp;

Entrepreneurs are the New Rappers

When you're at your lowest, or off your high peak, or tripped up and made a mistake there's no other option than to get back up on your horse and go - and that's one of the key lessons off this FIRE IG live I did in Aspen, CO last week. When, and if that setback happens, you've gotta re evaluate and really stop being fancy. Getting accustomed to a certain lifestyle is easy, and letting go of it isn't. The message here is clear as crystal and I hope you love it ;)&nbsp;

NY state of mind

Today’s episode is an all-time clip. I don’t know if there is a more powerful clip that I’ve ever put out and I hope you can sit down and really let this soak in. Please understand that your negative outlook on life is coming from a place of fear that was instilled in you. For everybody that is "scared" and "fear-based", don't see it as a negative reflection of yourself. You’re not bad, you are just hurt and need to understand that those are other people's thoughts being out in your head. Enjoy! Let me know what you think.
