Be patient. “When I was 25-years-old, I thought a 40-year-old was finished.” I was wrong. I’ve barely started. I want to show you that achieving a long-term legacy is a long process – and I’ve had my eyes on the prize since the moment I started hustling.

Be focused. “Every business decision that I ever made – EVERY ONE OF THEM – was always based on my long-term legacy … That was the key.”

“I’m really not happy with short-term successes. I’m really not happy that people now know who I am.” I’ll be happy when I’m dead and my legend is still growing.

“I live my life, on a daily basis, with the complete intent to have everybody that I interact with show up to my funeral.” I want to be remembered as such a good person that people feel compelled to show up.

Do you know what’s most important to me? It’s not just buying the New York Jets. It’s not money. “It’s a distant second to knowing I was gifted with a communication style that touches people … I’m just so goddamn thankful.”

You can’t create your legacy tomorrow. You can’t do it when you’re 90-years-old. You have time now. “It’s a balance of regret and patience.”
